I must be honest and say that when my daughter made the transition from 5th to 6th, I was very nervous and seemed to run into problem after problem during the first month or two. Looking back, I most likely had unrealistic expectations and soon realized the problems were not being caused by school staff but by my child trying to adjust to the differences of middle school. Once adjusted her attitude changed which in turn brought her grades up and weve had no problems since.. I am positive that Warms Springs and its staff have the best of intentions while our kids are in they're hands. Keep up the great work!!
I couldn't be more happy with this school. The teachers and staff and wonderful and supportive. They offer great programs from Drama club, ASB, Avid and after school math tutoring. I moved here two years ago and never have seen such wonderful schools as in the Murrieta District.
My children have had a wonderful experience at Warm Springs. Teachers are great and Staff and counselors are caring. Great communication with all. I see some of the other posts aren't very positive and that hasn't been our experience at all.
Strict on some things and not on others. Some GREAT teachers, some not great. Some very nice staff, some not. Bullying seems to be a problem, no one seems to notice. Several kids I see with the sagging pants, bad attitudes, etc. Not impressed at all. My son is in 6th grade and this was like taking 2 steps backward from Buchanan Elementry. Definate power trip from campus supervisor/teacher. Seems like staff just tells you what you want to hear to make you go away. Not impressed with vice principal...no e-mail back from counslor. We are moving this summer back to a small town.....Not impressed AT ALL!
This school is doing sooo much better now that there's a new principal. (He used to be principal for a highschool so I think he knows what he's doing) Students are rewarded for there hard work throughout the week for special activities on fridays during lunch and don't forget the pick up stix served every Wednesday. There are some very good teachers and others, not so well. Some staff members are, might I say are rude; but most of them are very understanding and nice. There is also a police officer always roaming around the school. Drugs, however is a problem with some students, but they are surely caught and suspended, expelled, sent to Juvy etc. My daughter goes there and got from a C to an A in math and also got an A on her language arts mid-term.
Although there are some amazing teachers in this school. It;s staff members are rude, and on serious power trips. Particularly the campus supervisor whom when calling parents appears to enjoy intimidation tactics and insulting remarks, she clearly has no skills in diplomacy and shouldn't be allowed to be in contact with the public
Not sure where to start. I have been a member of tis community for more than 25 years now and I must say, what a huge let down this area has become. Warm Springs Middle School is a prime example of all the bad things to come. Drugs are a huge problem in this school and the staff is not very responsive to parents needs. It is time to move. The entire valley has gone to the bad and I feel it is going to get worse!
Terrible School. constant drug searches and rap music playing at the lunches. You can tell by the teachers attitude they've had a pay decrease and my child has to suffer. TERRIBLE!
Looks can be deceiving about this school. Nice school grounds, terrible when it comes to learning. I found it hard for my child to keep from being distracted when having rap songs playing between classes, during class and lunch. Teachers are not all that great either. During one of the open houses the teacher spoke more about her cat and dog then she did about academics. And another one of my child's teachers assigned a homework assignment called 10 ways to act like your sick so you can stay home from school (wow how appropriate for middle school teens) I would not suggest this school at all. I do not know how they're going to ever receive their California Distinguished Schools going at this rate.
I have a child attend this school I can,t even get the school principal or no one to call me back to see how my children is doing in school shame of the leadership
