Academics seems about average. All the classes I took were challenging and fun. Arts program was very satisfying. Excellent music and sports program. Among the best schools in the region in almost every sport. High rate of students receiving athletic scholarships for universities. Parent involvment high.

One son graduated and other son is in 10th. Each are having very different experiences at Hart High School. I consider Hart a quality school with caring teachers and administrators. This school district strongly encourages academic and extra-curricular involvement by the students. Parent involvement is very strong.

This is a good school if you like large schools with a lot of ethnic diversity. Average child is low performing, gets lost in the shuffle. AP classes are the only way to get a good education. Lots of drugs and alcohol. Parent interest is to blame the school for this, not take any responsibility.

What a wonderful school. Mr. Fuller is so willing to work with the parents and listen to what they have to say. The swim team is like on other. Coach Neale has the biggest heart and truly cares about his swimmers.

I love Hart High school! The teachers are great and they truly want the best for their students. My daughter has not only improved academically but has developed self confidence. All thanks to her great teachers.

Hart High has a great history to support it. My daughter is a Junior this year and she likes her school, but unfortunately it is overcrowded and kids are loose. I would say half the kids are working hard and the other half is trying but you always have the few that ruin it for the rest. Academicaly these kids take away from the teacher capability to do a good job. They distract the teacher and the other kids that are trying hard. There are great teachers and counselors but there are also bad ones. My daughter counselor was always busy and never gave her enough time. So, it is good but not the greatest. Good sport teams with wining history. But supervision is a problem. I give it a satisfactory grade.

The teachers quality in this school has big problem! The grades in this school is meaningless! If the principal does not do something now, this high school will be downgraded to element school or even worse.

Hart is the absolutely one of the best schools! The teachers are extremely committed to excellence! The principle Gary Fuller believes in well educated, well-rounded students, the parent involvement is the best I have ever seen at any school. My son is in the band program and my daughter is in Pageantry and Mr. Bailey is the best band teacher any student could ever want. He motivates the kids, provides them with discipline and a sense of accomplishment on a daily basis. Any parent should be proud to send there kids to this school and know the kids will be educated by caring teachers, know that failure is not an option at this school, know that they can achieve anything they want both educationally and extracurricularly at this school.

The school is way too overcrowded for the students to get any personal attention. I really wonder what they are actually teaching. My daughter has an A in English but doesn't know what an adverb is. She has a B in Algebra but can't find the greatest common factor of 2 numbers. Many of the students in her classes struggle when reading aloud. And yet these kids come from mostly middle class suburban households.

This is a great school. Teachers are always wanting the best for their students. It is a great school academically and a great school in sports. Teachers work overtime to achieve students goals. Activities are usaully always going ad parents are involved. It is one of the best school for a student to go to. This school has high standards,and suspect a lot from their students. Thats why it is the best school.

About the tests


In 2012-2013 California used the California Standards Tests (CSTs) to test students in English language arts in grades 2 through 11; math in grades 2 through 7; science in grades 5, 8 and 10; and history-social science in grades 8 and 11. Middle and high school students also took subject-specific CSTs in math and science, depending on the course in which they were enrolled. The CSTs are standards-based tests, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of California. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the tests.

The different student groups are identified by the California Department of Education; if there are fewer than 10 students in a particular group in a school, the state doesn't report data for that group.
