I went to Nipomo High School and the teachers and staff go up and beyond to help their students pass. They all act as role models to their students. They've helped me turn my life around. Now I am working on becoming a firefighter for the state of California.

NHS is a great school. The teachers, administration, and students all work together to create the perfect academic environment.

I <3 NHS!!! i went there for my frosh and soph years and it was amazing. but... i think the school should do the block schedule thing. i go to smhs now and i have a much less homework load (so i can focus on my extracurriculars and volunteer work at the hospital) fewer classes to fous on and much better grades. I honestly think if the school was designed with the block i would've done much better academically at NHS. It has the beauty, the students, the teachers, and the high technology available for the students. I just wish it was a block schedule school like SMHS i really would've done better.

NHS has been a magnet to some of the best teachers in the Lucia Mar School District. Teachers have come to a brand new school with great enthusiasm to fulfill the mission to provide the best environment for kids to matriculate in. My son, 16 yo, started as the first freshman class two and a half years ago. Coming from a small private school, it was a large school by contrast, however, it still provided small class sizes of 20 students with teachers that took special interest in knowing individual students, their interests and individual needs. My son was able to get the classes in math and science that he wanted and was even able to participate in sports (tennis). He is looking forward to college and his advisors are very helpful in directing his search. Overall, NHS is a very well run school starting with the principal and his staff.

NHS is the best! I now have two students attending there in grades nine and eleven. The campus is lovely, the faculty and kids are great! There are many opportunites for seeking Colleges and to prepare for it. The staff is very approachable and encouraging. My daughter has had the unique privelege of being there since the school opened in 2002-03 and had both of the wonderful counselors on staff there. Her high school experience has been postitive from day one, thanks in large part to the great staff. There truly is no teacher she has encountered who's not dedicated to the kids. NHS has had some typical problems but they don't cause major interuptions for the students or staff. Parent involvement is a plus with boosters and incividual subjects.
