Langdon has made a 180 degree turnaround the past couple years. With a new Principal and a group of highly dedicated teachers, our student CST test scores have SOARED to 756 (a gain of 100 points in two years). There is no longer that feeling that Langdon is a "bad school" from years ago. Everyone can feel it's now a positive and fun place to go to school. Of course, we don't miss any of those old and burned out teachers that transferred out of Langdon to open that new performing arts school. Langdon is now a great school!
Personally, i think that the fault for what is going on in Langdon is the District's. I attended this elementary and have grown up within the LAUSD district and i can vouch for the Teachers and staff there. They work super hard for their students, who are their number 1 priority, but they are very limited on the resources they can offer and use themselves for the students. Like any other school, Langdon depends on the support of the community and the effort of the everyday work that the teachers and staff put in. Over all, langdon is a great school with VERY dedicated teachers and hard working students.
Hi' i'am a mother of 3 kids coming to this school they are new here, like a couple of weeks' and i have seen very poor support from this school, they don't have programs for the kids to help them with there everyday learning, and they have very poor attention for the kids, outside in playground, and inside class this is a very sad looking school, my smaller daughter is in kinder and she does'nt have the right help and teacher she's supossed to have <the teacher is very nice >but she's a first grader, and the kindergarden's are full, they do not have the right teacher's for the kids nor the sufficient ones, the playgroun's look so sad ther's no color or trees nor the kid's have any gym or a pretty playground to play in i can belive the kindergarden kids don't have a decent playground to play, it's so sad.
