I will say that I LOVE the principal. She's positive, energetic, concerned, and easy to talk to. I like the fact that you won't find her locked away in her office, wearing a suit and scheduling appointments. She's very involved in what's going on on campus. That said, Ms. Stevens is about the ONLY thing I like about the school. As the parent of a kindergartner, my son's teacher is forever focusing on his negatives, though he has shown INCREDIBLE improvement since the start of the school year. The school is AWFUL about communicating vacation days and early releases, and they no longer offer the after school program to the lower grades. My son will NOT be back next year, even if I have to home school him.
I just want to say that my daughters attend Coldwater Canyon Elementary and I just love this school. I'm also a parent volunteer and I love helping the students and teachers in whatever they need. This is a great school and the teachers are wonderful. I'm very impress with the principal Mrs. Stephens, she does a wonderfull job at encouraging the students every morning. Also the food they give the students is good and healthy. Its a very clean school and hard working too. If you are looking for a school for your schildren to start, this is a great one to have in mind.
My sister went here and she has improved as well as learned alot. The principal, Mrs. Stevens, is very encouraging and very fair to all the students. She encouraged the students during the CST'S which led them to a 40+ api improvement. The school gives a lot of awards to make sure the students are happy. There is no racism. I commend Ms. Ingram because she was a great teacher and cared about her students as her own. i am extremely happy that my sister graduated from this school. Good Luck Coldwater!
I'm so happy to see recent Coldwater's CST results, is it a big improvement from previous years. it may seems like little but it is a good start. I commends the teachers and specially Mrs Stevens, the principal for such a hard work these past two years. Mrs Stevens is very involved and she shows that she really cares for the students academic success. Well done Coldwater!!
