We have been so blessed to have found St. Paul's. It's a teeny school in North Hollywood, but it has a heart as big as the world. My kindergartner and I felt so welcome when we toured the school. The principal Mr. Koepple was so warm and welcoming to us. As we met the teachers and saw how happy the students were, we were happily surprised. Miss Miller the kindergarten teacher was so happy to talk to us and show us work the kids had done, and just talking to her we could tell she loved the kids and teaching. Her class was full of fun, creative and educational toys for the kids. St. Paul's has so many activities throughout the year, the fall festival, trunk or treat, snow day, the school play- just to name a few. They also have music, choir, drama, sports, computer- plenty to give the children a great education. As our first year at St. Paul's comes to a close I am very happy with our experience and feel even more at home at this school. We Love St. Paul's!
This school has been a real blessing to us. The education they provide is meant to nurture our children academically and spiritually. Their staff is highly trained and we always feel at peace when we drop our daughter off each morning. St. Paul's makes sure kids get excited to go to school. They plan several field trips, summer camps and so many other fun activities during the year, so there's always something exciting coming up. So far St. Paul's has exceeded our expectations and we would recommend this school to any parent who wish for the best education for their children.
Of course, when your adult schedule and extra curricular activities take time, you may feel at certain times the homework is too much. However, they are usually given enough time to work around those events.
Developing honesty, integrity and fairness can always be judged differently by people. I feel using the biblical standards is the best way and the more practical way is using grading system, participation and attitude.
We were so blessed to find this school. It offers opportunities for every child to participate in music, sports and academic programs. Now that they have graduated, we are even more grateful for the love and friendship that continues. It is a family atmosphere which benefits everyone even those who can always find fault with everything.
This school has horrible favoritism issues. Teachers kids are favored and if any child may threaten that, they are treated horrible. Kids are embarrassed in class as they get to the older grades. Since its private, there is no accountability. If you have $$ you are good, if you don't forget about it. Be aware !!!!!
My two sons attend St. Paul's and they love it! This small school offers BIG: 1) Christian education 2)Small class sizes 3)Strong curriculum 4)Awesome music program (choir, band, piano lessons, handbells, etc.) 5)Good sportsmanship learning opportunities in their sports program 6)Caring staff. I can go on and on...My eldest son is going into his last year (8th) and we are sad to say good bye. But, he has consistently scored in the 98% percentile in Math, Reading, Comprehension, etc. He is well prepared for high school! :)
Christian values are not only taught but lived by through the staff and faculty at St. Paul's. Students "see" honesty, integrity and fairness in action at this school by its leaders--it is not merely lip service.
