Finally, "Mimi" had to retire from the Toluca 'Crossroads' to catch up on about 40 years of sleep deprivation. (Hillary Clinton only made it to 20 years.) With much thanks to all & the 'bestes' of wishes to my staff, all the children and their families, as well as the new management - I am sending you, with every mixed emotion possible, a heartfelt good-bye. I shall be cautious not to tire myself too much as there is a good chance a la (Lawrence Sterne) "Men tire themselves in pursuit of rest." Miss you! Sincerely, Mimi. And so it is.

Our son has been going to Crossroads since he was 10 months old. There are two lovely women in the older baby room who take great care of him. He's 18 months old now, and when he walks into the school he runs right to his room. I love the comfortable, secure feeling of the place. Very happy here!

Toluca Crossroads is my daughter's favorite place. She loves her teachers, and all her friends. It is a community school; a place that feels happy and warm. I know my daughter is cared for and nurtured while I am working.

Our 8-year old daughter attended Crossroads from the age of 1-5yrs. and loved it. She never wanted to leave at the end of each day! Now our 1-year old is attending and she is happy and thriving! We have been very impressed with every caregiver/teacher in every level of our children's time spent here. The entire staff is caring, welcoming and nurturing.

Extremely loving staff that have made our daughter excited to go to school each day. Every person on staff knows my daughter's name and greets her with enthusiasm each morning. A wonderful, intimate school at an amazing price.

Our son started going there when he was about a year old. We cannot say enough good things about the school and the staff at Toluca Crossroads. There is a low teacher-student ratio so each child gets the love and attention they need. The day is regimented which makes things at home in the evenings and weekends predictable. All of the older children have nice manners and always look happy to be there. All in all, I would recommend this school without any hesitation. We are so fortunate to have found Toluca Crossroads and look forward to our son continuing at this great school.

Our son started at Toluca Crossroads in kindergarten and is now about to graduate to middle school. We had no idea what a great move we made back when we first toured the school, but we are very clear about it now! Toluca Crossroads has been a fantastic experience for us and has provided a uniquely intimate and nurturing academic environment for our son that has allowed him to really thrive. WIth less than 75 students (including the Pre-K kids), the student-teacher ratio is so low that it is almost like having private tutors as opposed to teachers. Parents also have very good access to the teachers and principal. And above and beyond the academics (which are very good), the staff and teachers really foster a strong sense of good citizenship among the students. On the whole, the kids are polite, friendly, motivated and well-behaved. It's really a special place.

This school is terrific. My daughter has been here for 3 years now, and has always felt happy, safe and loved. She is now finishing the outstanding Kindergarten class and is reading and writing and understanding math. What I love is they find time for the kids to still be kids too. My son will be going there soon, and it's nice to not have to worry about where your kids are while at work.

This has been the very best choice we could have made for our twins. Everyone at the school is amazing! Every day we see progress...Each drawing is sent home for us to see and save. Every morning our twins can't get into the place quick enough (they love it) Teachers, administration and the other kids are all wonderful!

My daughters attend, and have loved every minute of it. In the morning they can't wait until it is time to leave for school, and once we've arrived they can t wait for me to leave. Every one on the staff is fully committed to the lives of the students, and the fact that they truly enjoy what they do is evident in the personalities of the children (our daughters run up to hug the teachers in the morning when they arrive). We have been thrilled to see the effect the school has had on them. Their verbal and motor skills have improved significantly, as have their communication skills, and the daily interaction with the teachers and other students has helped with their social development as well. Toluca Crossroads has more than surpassed all our expectations.

My son has attended this school since the age of 4 he is now 6 years old. The school is inimate and the children get lots of individual time with the teachers. The excellerated reading program is unbelievable. My son was reading at the age of 4. He loves his teacher and they are very firm and loving with the children. He loves his teachers. Any problems that I have had with my son at the school have been worked out together with the school. They always include me with any challenges they have with him. His two years at this school have been AWESOME!!!!

My daughter has attended this school since she was 7 months old, now she's 8 years old. She loves it!! With Lynn's guidance she picked up reading well in a couple of months, it was amazing. She also participates in the Sing-along Show Performances in front of a full audience. It's a very cozy school with individual attention. We love the school!.

The absolute best choice we could have made for our daughter! She attended the school for her Kindergarten year and is now in a public school as a first grader and is reading over 120 words a minute. (We moved which is why she did not continue her education at Crossroads) The Kindergarten classroom itself was amazing! Very clean, lots of little stations for the children to explore and learn. The class size was small, around 15 students and the teacher, Lynn, would daily spend one on one time with each student teaching them to read. By the end of the school year, our daughter was able to read beginning chapter books! She was miles ahead of many of her friends her age in reading, math and science. They do not have a PTA or room parents and I think not having "Mommy" in the room helping really allowed my daughter to come out of her shell a bit and become more independent which was very helpful when she started 1st grade at a very large public school. I would strongly recommend this school. If you are looking at private schools in this area PLEASE put this school on your list of schools to visit!

Both my son and daughter have been going to this school since they were 4 months old. The nursery has loving, caring people that sing songs and read books. The two-year class has someone that all the children adore. The kindergarten class has a teacher with an amazing reading program. My daughter was reading a book at home within a couple of months. The class sizes are small, which I really like. Each child is treated as an individual and gets individual attention. Social skills are worked on to a great degree at these younger ages. There are art projects, singing concerts and some science taught at these younger ages. At times I think they could place some higher expectations on the children, but then again, they are being let to be themselves and be children just exploring their world.

My daughter has been going to this school since she was 1 1/2 years old. She's always loved it. It's like her second home. It's a very safe and homy environment. There are not many kids in each class so they have lots of personal attention. Now she's not even 5 and she's in Kindergarden and knows how to read many words. The kindergarden teacher is amazing. She gives each child individual attention to learn according to their level. I would definitively recommend this school!

My son is in the 1 yr old group, and I am so thankful he has finally become a part of such a wonderful environment. We toured many schools in our area, and when we walked in to Toluca Crossroads (with our son), the warm energy of welcome was unforgettable! Every morning he gets to school, he can't wait to get into his room! He LOVES his teachers, and they truly love him =) It is such a relief to know that you can work full time, and your child is safe, and having the time of his life while away from you! I'm very thankful they are here for us, and we look forward to his future yrs at Crossroads =)

Trying find an infant care program you can trust as a working mom is a daunting task, but I feel completely at ease with my daughter at Toluca Crossroads. I started her there at 4 months. Maria is an incredibly kind, loving, and attentive caretaker - my daughter's face lights up when she sees her. All of the teachers in the infant/1-year old room are amazing. I know that my daughter is getting the very best care and she is thriving in this environment. I feel extremely lucky to have found this school.

Moving to a new city and trying to find a preschool that works for a working family is so difficult. We first tried a nearby Montessori School and after 6 weeks it just never felt right leaving our daughter there. What a relief it was to find Toluca Crossroads! Besides being caring, attentive and educational, they also put so much effort into your child's safety by keeping doors secure, mandatory sign-in, and earthquake preparedness. There is also a nice balance between learning and play. We feel very lucky to have found this school.
