Bay Area Technology School

BayTech is very diverse school with many good teachers. I enjoy the diversity because it helps me with dealing with different cultures. Its a very small knit community and everybody knows everybody. All in all I'm glad I attend Bay Tech.

Awesome school. Great after school programs. They offer SAT tutoring on saturdays that are very helpful. They also offer UC Berkeley advanced science programs where they take you there and you get to work hands on with the professors. People who are intersted in science should come here becaue of the international science fair that they participate in. The teachers are always helpful and friendly. I love this school

The following are a few reasons I like the Bay Area Technology School (1) Knowledgeable teachers and good curriculum. (2) Individualized reading home work to meet the child's skill and challenge them at their level of interest. (3) helps the child to be creative, challenged, okay to make mistakes while learning, and teaches them to ask for help when needed. (4) Children learn emotional balance while growing. (5) Wonderful and friendly staff who really cares the children the most. (6) Good after-school program like study hall, outside play, and others until 6 pm (7) It gives me peace of mind at the end of the day that my kids are in a good environment. I love BayTech and recommend you to love too.

My son as a learning disability and some behavior issues. The administration did not engage and were not interested in helping him despite my attempt to get them to pay attention. The school grounds are very depressing, there is little control of the students.

After one year of trying to get accomodations for my son at Oakland Charter Middle School, I gave up and tried BayTech. The orientation was very thorough and they provided my son with a 504 two weeks after he was enrolled. I have never experienced such efficiency. The staff truly have the students interest as their priority. My home is less stressed. My son does not stay up until 1 -2 in the morning to finish homework. And, I have direct access to their daily homework, current grades, and emails to each of his teachers. This school has a great system set up for students and parents.

Looking for good school? I highly recommend Bay Area Technology School. Teachers and staff are very friendly. They always participate in Science Fair locally and internationally. They offer free afterschool program which is awesome, AP courses,Spanish and Turkish Language and for extra learning they have piano, crafts and arts, and drama class. I love this school.

What happen to the good schools in Oakland? I asked myself before I found Bay Tech! I cried when I have to leave my brand new middle schooler on her first day of school. Everything was new to her and to me as well. When I found out how safe and family oriented the school was it comforted me to know that I can leave my daughter there. If you were raised in Oakland you would be able to what I'm saying. Then I found out she was given the opportunity to go out of the country (my heart started to flutter). I'd never even been out of the country! Free After School program with free breakfast and lunch. Tutoring! Teachers that communicate with the parents! I was sold. Last year my son graduated from 5th grd. Where do you think he is going? Academics, Safe learning environment, Awesome programs, Commitment to the Students Education, what more could a parent ask for. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE BAY TECH AND SO DOES MY CHILDREN. This school grows more and more to perfect it's Goals for the students.

We are thrilled with the choice we made to send our son to sixth grade here. Even our son says he loves it there. They have a wonderful system to give positive strokes to the students and they really respond to it. The children are respectful and seem to trust and enjoy their teachers. Homework and the expectations are reasonable. All I see there are smiling, happy faces. This is a terrific school and so many afterschool activities. I highly recommend it.

I love this school. Before my daughter came to Baytech I made the decision to homeschool my daughter if necessary. My daughter is bright and was not adequately challenged at the private school she previously attended. I heard good things about Baytech and the school's focus on math, science, and computers were my daughter's academic strengths. My daughter has completed her first year and has rediscovered her love of learning. She loves her teachers and as a parent I appreciate thier enthusiasm for teaching and their accessibility. At Baytech the teachers and staff are available and encourage contact with parents. My daughter felt very safe in school and we felt comfortable sending her there. The focus on academic excellence is shared by my family and the school. We are looking forward to another great year.

Bay Area Technology School is the best school in Oakland. They have good teachers with well education knowledge. They know their subjects very well. Also all teachers are very nice to all their students. It has small setting classes. It gives the opportunity to learn all the material faster because teachers have the time to work with you one on one. Also, Bay Tech challenges all students that are above the standards and gives an opportunity to reach for the stars! I'm very proud to be a Bay Tech student.
