I wish I sent my children to Topa Topa instead. Looking forward to when I no longer have to deal with the problems that are working at this school.

It's a great school and finds creative ways to be part of it's neighborhood and community.

Mira Monte has been a great surprise. My child came from a Ventura Unified school and I didn't realize what was missing until we got to Mira Monte. [They] have so much to offer the kids. They have a great GATE program and a wonderful music program. My child is finally being challenged academically. I just wish I had known what a drastic difference there was sooner.

I spent a lot of money for a private school for my older daughter. I realized she was behind for her age group and I sent her to Mira Monte. She had to work very hard to work to get caught up and Mira Monte provided the support to get her caught up. She is now caught up and getting top grades. In the real world, children do need to know how to take standardized test, and we need to be able to assess how they're doing compared to other people of their age. You need to know where to help a child and in what areas. Mira Monte does have art and music, but to be honest, if a parent isn't satisfied with art and music, they should supplement at home. Parents need to take responsibility to teach their children or supplement their needs.

Mira Monte school has really declined. If you are looking for a facility with a load of rules and a huge emphasis on standardized testing, then this is the place for you. Creativity, art, and individuality all take second place. I find the whole structure repressive and counter productive.

I have been very satisfied with Mira Monte Elementary. The teachers are very committed to the children. My daughter is in second grade and so far every one of her teachers has been exceptional! I have noticed that the teachers take all grades very seriously and the subjects my daughter studies is more than just simple things. They are learning alot about history and puctuation. I cannot believe how much they learn. Thank you to all the teachers for all their dedication to all of our kids!
