Nordhoff High School is a wonderful school. My daughter thoroughly enjoys going there. It has a wonderful music department and theater department. They filmed the movie "Easy A" there. Nordhoff High School rocks!

It's safe, it's cool to do well in school, solid athletics program, great teachers, happy shiny people smiling, lot's of school spirit and pride.

Nordhoff High School has the most outstanding music program of any school in the County. Bill Wagner the schools musical director is tops in his field. This school and their music department deserve to be voted the best because they are. Many of the past and present students are headed for outstanding careers in the music industry just because of Bill Wagner and the schools program.

Nordhoff is a great school. Both of my daughters graduated from this school with an excellent education. The staff is caring and the facilities are well kept. It amazes me that people spend money sending their children to private schools in our area when they can get a much better education at this school.

i go to this school and i hate it so very much it was good in the beginningof my freshman year but as soon as we started getting into the year my grades fell far below average and i had no hope to make it up.i am still at nordhoff and trying to transfer if only there were more high schools in Ojai valley.i hope other students have a better time than i am. The teaches are horrible and nobody seems to care. The class sizes are also wayyy to big(no one on one help from teachers). i really wish i could switch schools.

To summarize this school in a few words I would have to say 'lack of care'. This is clearly seen in the poorly thought out schedules and times.

In my point of view, I took my child out of this high school after her freshman year. The teachers are careless and only care about the pay check.

I go to nordhoff and I really dont like it. There is a weak selection of electives. School starts way too early, I dont see how we are supposed to focus at 7.40 In the morning, school should defionatly start later, then less people would be tardy and people would find it easier to pay attention and learn what they are supposed to learn. If given the choice I would definatly not stay at this school.

Sorry to inform you that the AVID program is a bust. My childs AVID teachers changed way to often. On a positive note. My child feels prepared and is doing very well at the college level. So I thank Nordhoff for preparing my child and feel sorry for all the kids that were left behind.

The teacher corps is, as common, both good and bad. Most are at least adequate, 5-6 are terrific - knowledgeable, inspiring and caring, several are actively bad and there is apparently no hope of dismissing them. I do not sense a commitment to excellence from the administration Councilors are overburdened and not really helpful getting kids into college. Industrial arts program is almost non-existant. Sports programs are plentiful and well attended. Too many grads are, however, bitter or angry about their experience. The campus is pleasant and getting nicer. The campus is safe. Over all- an average or better public school. Kids in the middle will do OK. Those at the high and low end of the talent spectrum will need some luck.
