Where do I start? The Current Principal is cold and unaproachable. She doesn't seem to care about students or parents. The Curiculam is math and reading period. The unfortunate thing is that the school underperfoms in both areas. The school offers limited extra curricular activities. It is a public school and we know what comes along with that. We are currently working towards placing our children into a private school to get them back to their level before they entered El Camino. Thank goodness for the teachers that do care!

My children have attended El camino for 5 years now, although some teachers are great like Mr. Packer most fall far below standard. The school concentrates mostly just on math and reading. I would expect my kids to be experts in these subjects, but like most kids at El Camino are struggling. There's no focus on fun, art, science or history. Makes me wonder what will happen in Jr. high when these subjects are introduced for the first time. The principal is never available. You get what you pay for, if you want a great school, go private. We've done both, my sixth grader learned more in his 1st grade private school than he has in five years at El camino.

Both of my children have attended this school. Most of the teachers are very good. However, there are a few that lack the skills to handle their students. I do not care for the current principal. The students do not feel as though she is approachable or respects their opinions.

We moved from Northerna California and found this school to be inferior in their curriculum! The teachers are not patient and seem to hold grudges against children who don't 'fall in line'. One teacher spoke inappropiately with my child causing her to cry and run to the Principal's office. Parent involvement is low, but that is due to two-parent incomes.

El Camino is a wonderful school. The teacher and staff are great. My only concern was the students and parents.

Both of my children have attended El Camino Elementary for the past two years, since Kindergarten. They both have been very fortunate to have some very caring & encouraging teachers. They have personally worked with my son's high maintenance behavior and referred him to their onsite counseling for further evaluations. The entire faculty is very supportive. They strongly encourage parent participation & involvement in their children's education. It's the main reason why I continue to donate money to my children's school.

I recently moved to the Ontario/Montclair school district and this school was the only school I found to be the best for my kids. The staff is great...they are friendly, and very helpful. I have noticed that this school motivates parents to get involved with their childrens education by having a 'Parent/Taecher night', 'Read Across El Camino'..just to name a few. My kids and I have been very happy with the education and discipline they have instilled in my children. I applaud the staff of El Camino for doing a fabulous job.

'I graduated recently from El Camino this year and I have to say it's a great school. Most of the teachers are nice and are willing to help you with any problems. The school staff is also really friendly and caring. I definetly recommend El Camino Elementary because it's one of the best schools in the Ontario- Montclair School District. Teachers I recommend for... 4th Grade: Ms. Gutierrez 5th Grade: Ms. McCoy 6th grade: Ms. MeGaw or Ms. Andrews. Thanks to these teachers I was in the G.A.T.E program and I will be attending a G.A.T.E Magnet Middle School this year.

I went to this school myself many years ago, my children went to this school and now I work at this school. It's a great place to develop your child's education!
