It has a principal that cares about the students school progress.
I'm a substitute teacher, and Vineyard is by far one of the best elementary schools in teh district. The students don't mopingly go through the day, but seem genuinely excited and inspired to learn new things. Not only do they have a great principal (Ms. Applegate) and assistant principal (Mr. Morales), but the teachers are almost preternaturally concerned with the students' well being and education. Also, the folks who work in the office are wonderful and on the ball! As a sub, I've been in many school envirionments, and I can tell, quite soon after going to a school, if it is dross or gold. Vineyard, to be sure, is not just gold-plated but solid!
Vineyard has some outstanding teachers with very little resources to help them out. You go teachers, we love you.
