I believe this elementary is what you call an above and beyond school. Starting with the foundation of any learning source which are the parents. McCord is in a little city where the majority of its nationality is Latino- Hispanic and some of these parents work in labor and most importantly don't speak the english language. Teachers and staff at McCord know this and accommodate greatly to try and give those parent the same opportunity of involvement as they would to an english speaking family. McCord does this by hiring bilingual staff and having interpreters available all the time. McCord has Heart and wants their students to succeed, it is shown by the amazing After School Program that the Principal and staff genuinely support. The ASP allows children to be in a safe place after school hours until the evening while being in a learning environment. The students get help with their homework, enjoy read out loud, science experiments etc. Overall it is a great honor to have this amazing growing Elementary in my community! GO MUSTANGS!

My children are currently enrolled in this school. They were transferred here after we moved. I am very disappointed with the staff. They seem to be unorganized and have no idea whats going o n with activities when I call them for information. The teachers dont fully understands how to evaluate their students and get flustered when parents ask questions.

Great teachers! They really care about the students. Wonderful After School Program where students can complete homework in small groups with assistance. After school outdoor activities, crafts, character building activities.
