Both my children have attended this school since preschool. The teacher to child ratio is wonderful! We feel both of our children have learned so much academically as well as learning social skills and becoming well rounded human beings. Far Horizons Montessori has built an incredible foundation for both our children. The academic standards are high but the individualized teaching helped my children work at their level and build up. I would highly recommend this school.

My kindergartner was rejected after a week because he didn't always follow all the directions, - in Kindergarden! He is far ahead in math and is very sweet hearted. I am very disappointed that a school would expect such young children to have perfect etiquette, I thought the point was to learn social skills as well as academics in preschool. They admitted how bright and loving he is; therefor I find it very sad that they will only accept little robots - All my children are colorful, outgoing and exceptional in the arts and academics, their ignorance is doing children an injustice. We will be much better off elsewhere.

I almost don't want to write a review, because I feel like Far Horizons is one of Orange's best kept secrets and I love how much individualized attention my son gets at school. My son is in pre- school and has just completed his first year. I am so excited and amazed by how much he has learned and grown, both academically and socially. We love this school!

I attended this school from the age of 5 through 13. It truly enabled me to succeed in high school and college, as I have recently graduated from USC with a degree in Physical Therapy. I owe much of my success to the foundations Far Horizons provided me with and I highly recommend it to anyone.

After visiting over 11 schools and doing a spreadsheet I chose Far Horizons Montessori. I wish I would of sent my daughter here sooner. I love that there is a Spanish, Art, Music, Dance and Art class that are included. There is also morning and afternoon daycare and the price is very, very reasonable. I love the teachers who are all excellent instructors and very caring. The principal is very knowledgeable and is on top of things. She has been very supportive with my daughter. I love that the school is small, cute and intimate. The parent involvement is growing and there are a lot more activities being planned. My daughter learned so much in the first year in pre-k. She was reading in no time. I compared the curriculum in 11 other private schools and I was the most impressed with what the students were learning and doing on their own at Far Horizons. I highly recommend this school. My daughter also loves it. It's great that it goes up to 8th grade as well - so nice that there is a safe and supportive place for children to grow, learn and be themselves.

We love this school. It is a small, intimite school with two teachers per class room, which gives each student the attention they deserve. No one gets lost in the shuffle. The teachers actually correct and follow through on the work the students do. The school also provides weekly classes in dance, music and Spanish to all students. I feel my children are getting the best academic education from the most caring teachers.

This is a small school with an abundance of teachers and directors who care about the children's learning. My child needs a lot of one on one attention and I was afraid that she would not receive this in a public school due to the budget constraints. In this school, she is blossoming without any problems. In her K class there are 27 children and 2 teachers, allowing the teachers to focus in the children's individual needs and achievements. This school does not advertise, as previous students return with their own children. The very reasonable tuition includes music, dance and Spanish.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
