After visiting over 11 schools and doing a spreadsheet I chose Far Horizons Montessori. I wish I would of sent my daughter here sooner. I love that there is a Spanish, Art, Music, Dance and Art class that are included. There is also morning and afternoon daycare and the price is very, very reasonable. I love the teachers who are all excellent instructors and very caring. The principal is very knowledgeable and is on top of things. She has been very supportive with my daughter. I love that the school is small, cute and intimate. The parent involvement is growing and there are a lot more activities being planned. My daughter learned so much in the first year in pre-k. She was reading in no time. I compared the curriculum in 11 other private schools and I was the most impressed with what the students were learning and doing on their own at Far Horizons. I highly recommend this school. My daughter also loves it. It's great that it goes up to 8th grade as well - so nice that there is a safe and supportive place for children to grow, learn and be themselves.
We love this school. It is a small, intimite school with two teachers per class room, which gives each student the attention they deserve. No one gets lost in the shuffle. The teachers actually correct and follow through on the work the students do. The school also provides weekly classes in dance, music and Spanish to all students. I feel my children are getting the best academic education from the most caring teachers.
This is a small school with an abundance of teachers and directors who care about the children's learning. My child needs a lot of one on one attention and I was afraid that she would not receive this in a public school due to the budget constraints. In this school, she is blossoming without any problems. In her K class there are 27 children and 2 teachers, allowing the teachers to focus in the children's individual needs and achievements. This school does not advertise, as previous students return with their own children. The very reasonable tuition includes music, dance and Spanish.
