My friend suggest me this school. I went their open house twice. Later I checked their data ans they are doing great jop it is mazing. Ihave son and I`m going to enroll him for next year. Look at their vision "Graduates of Magnolia Public Schools are scientific thinkers who contribute to the global community as socially responsible and educated members of society." Thank you very much for operating this school around Orangevale.
I am the School Secretary and Office Manager at Pacific Technology School in Orangevale and I can assure you that neither grades nor statistics are inflated at our school for any purpose. The numbers contained in our school's SARC report come from the Calif. Dept of Ed (CDE) and can be verified on their web site. Thank you.
cIn response to the parents who think the school responded to the problems and fixed them - that is an incorrect assumption. I am one of several parents who finally left the school because they refused to address the problems. Leaving that school was the best thing we ever did - my child is finally not having nightmares from the incessant bullying, and is enjoying school again! Obviously not every child who attends PTS suffers these problems. I just find it inexcusable that there are so many who do and the school wants to pretend its not an issue. Also - I noticed the school was artificially inflating my child's grades for temporary periods, then lowering them back where we expected. My strong suspicion is they were artificially inflating scores for SARC.
Pacific Technology School gets pretty mixed reviews talking to parents in the community. When I was considering sending my daughter to sixth grade this past summer, I got feedback from some parents that they had 'heard' it was not such a great school, but were vague about why and I got feedback from other parents who had wonderful, enthusiastic things to say. I'm not going to suggest that the negative reviews are wrong - I'm merely saying that our experience has been much different. My daughter came from a very small private school and this has been a perfect next step. Small class sizes, enthusiastic and dedicated teachers, free after school programs, excellent communication from teachers and administration via email and the CoolSis online program, lots of opportunities for fun community building activities outside of school, great field trips, diverse student body. I think a lot of the issues brought up in some of the other reviews have been heard and changes made, because I haven't seen or heard (from the kids or other parents) any issues of neglect of students, exclusion, bullying, name calling by teachers or anything of that sort. My daughter is happy and so am I.
Pacific Technology school is- Great and safe environment, diverse student body. Variety of afterschool clubs and activities and much emphasis on academic excellence while maintaining individual focus on child's potential.
I heard such GREAT things about this school 2 years ago. My child went there last year and it was the worst decision I could have ever made for my child's education. They play favorites with the children. Their were even kids calling some of the staff mom and dad (in Turkish, how inappropriate), I couldn't believe it when I heard it!!! They do not communicate well with parents. I heard 2 of the staff call 2 children liars (to their face). They make all kinds of empty promises to the kids and parents at the beginning of the year and then never follow thru!! You will provide your child a better future and education by sending them to a school that really cares about your child and their education vs. trying to get the schools name and pictures in the newspaper. Every student for themselves at this school!!!
Amazing! A place with Advanced Technologies and yet good old fashion values and respect! Love it. I'm very happy I sent my daughter here. Learning advanced math and sciences as well as learning life lessons and how the world works. The teachers are so dedicated! And the principal gives everything he's got. It seems to be a team effort and they are on the side of our kids......
I firmly believe this school is the best choice in the area for high achievers or GATE kids. The teachers are very well qualified with real world and international experience, and I have been very impressed with them all for their expertise, teaching skills and involvement. There are many opportunities for advanced learning in all subjects, not just math and science, including free high quality after school programs and tutoring. The smaller class sizes and team project-based learning opportunities offer much better class dynamics. My 6th grade son is completing a very successful and satisfying school year at PTS and my daughter can t wait to attend in August.
This school is wonderful! I really like the emphasis on science and academic achievement. This is my daughter's first year and she and I are both excited to have her stay for 7th grade. The principal and teachers are enthusiastic and genuinely care about their students. There are group projects in most classes, which brings out the kids' creative sides and makes learning more fun. Classes are small, so there is plenty of time to interact with the teachers, which my daughter really appreciates. I judged the science fair (which every student participated in) and was thrilled at the high quality of the work. I highly recommend this school for students interested in science and technology.
This School is Horrible! The teachers are mean and the principle scares me! Don't ever go here! I am a student at PTS and I wish i could leave! Don't send your kids here! They will have to suffer!
