I was a student at this school and know from personal experience that the incompetence and ignorance of the faculty has led to not only awful but embarrassing matriculation, incredibly flawed student moral values and work ethics after graduation, etc for the large sum of money that is thoughtlessly thrown at this school on a yearly basis. Do not send your kids here. Your children and your pockets will be much better off if your children attend public school. Other better options would include schools like St.Matthews and Carlthorp.

Calvary is a nice school, however the turnover rate is upsetting. Everybody knows that teachers come and go, but at Calvary it's incredible how often they need to replace faculty. It's hard for the kids to constantly adapt to new teachers, principal, vice principal, preschool director, preschool director assistant...etc.

My Calvary experience was great! The academics were challenging and I learned so much. The teachers know their students very well and interact with them on a personal level. The Christian aspects helped me a lot in my faith and encouraged me. I feel like I truly got everything that I could out of my middle school experience. I love Calvary Christian and you will too!

I love Calvary. My child is in middle school and the teachers are caring and creative. My child is learning and thriving. I think the Headmaster is fabulous and knows each child by name. I have older children and made the decision to move my youngest to Calvary for all the school offers.

We've been at CCS for over 8 years and each year the school, the administrators and the teachers get better and better. My 3 kids could not be more different in their learning styles and CCS has loved, nurtured and challenged them while still helping to foster their independence and sense of self. We love this school and could not imagine a more loving, safe and wonderful place for our children to gain the knowledge and Christian values that will help make them into smart, loving and caring adults.

this school has horrible principal participation and the principal will judge way before she knows the facts the teachers in the elementary dont take the time to help the students but the middle teachers are excellent and easy to deal with there are way better schools out there that will take the time and effort to help your children dont waste your money here

We have been at Calvary for a number of years. The teachers are fine but the problem is the Dean of the school. She will say or do anything to keep her job. I also feel that the school "throws the grades" to keep the parents happy. So, the ERB scores never correlate to the child's grades. In conclusion, I have found it very difficult to educate my children in Los Angeles. Many people at this school have been asking for a number of years to replace the Dean. I wish the people in charge would listen.

Great school. I've been here for a few years and each year the quality increases. From academics to specialist classes, especially the computer class, are well rounded while maintaining a fun and christian environment.

We came here because we were looking for two things: christian values and high academics. The academics are o.k., stronger in the middle school than in elementary. The teachers in the lower grades are quite nurturing. The main problems seems to come from the head of school who doesn't model Christian values. She is uncaring of the children and can actually be quite mean to them unless, of course, their parents have given a lot of money to the school in which case they are treated like little kings and queens.

Academics were poor. Not at all good at sport, art. No real extra curricular activities. No interaction with teachers and a dismissive principal. This school is awful.
