My pre-K son has developed so much since starting at this school. The level of attention given to your child is amazing. The quality of education is way better than public school. I should have started my son here when he was 2 years old.

The curriculum here is challenging, but so rewarding for the kids. My three children enjoy this school so much and love not only their teachers, but other staff, students and even parents! I was worried that the work would be too hard for my two older boys, but the expertise and helpfulness of the staff took it all away. My boys loved the art and music programs after school. This year they even want to sign up for karate! Except my daughter, who wants to take dance. All the parents are a big part of the environment as well. Throughout the school year you get to know most of them pretty well. With all the assemblies, parties, and fund raisers, you can't help it. My kids love this school and so do I!

The over all academic programs are great. Pinecrest is teaching above level to their students. Extracurricular activites are plentiful. And they encourage and reward students every month in esteem building, student achievements and over all character. My son attended there for three years, he is going into public school (2nd grade) with at least a third grade learning level. Parents are encouraged to participate in all of there students activites.

I have two children at Pinecrest and am a teacher along with my husband. We have been very pleased with the level of commitment, caring, and nurturing provided by the Pinecrest Schools. We are comfortable with the quality of care provided at the school and feel that our children are safe, nurtured, and loved at the Pinecrest schools. Their extra-curricular activities are superb, far superior to any public school experience I have been associated with. Their small classes and attention to detail have persuaded me to keep my children in the private school environment even though my husband and I both work at and support Public Schools. The current budget crisis has affected the public school system too hard for us to be comfortable with the quality of teacher, security provided at most schools, class size, and lack of funding for extra-curricular activities at most public schools in California today. If the California Education System regains its funding and footing, we may reconsider sending our children to a public school. Meanwhile, we are very happy with the programs provided by the Pinecrest Schools.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

Oops! We currently do not have any student information for this school. We rely on the state Department of Education, the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), and in some cases school administrators such as registrars and principals for this data.
