The Attendance Clerk Mrs. Selina is the best employee in the school. Thanks for all you do Mrs. Selina you are much appreciated by the parents.
This is the best Charter School in Palmdale! Excellent teachers and really good leadership. My kids love it.
This Schools is a HOAX, they are not into making sure that the Student is in there best intrest, instead they are busy worried about the next fund raiser, I think there are people that live on site, what kind of school is this? There Principal Mrs.Keene is probably the worst person there to get a hold of to discuss issues, They are always trying to have you see someone else, so she does not have to deal with it. I think Charter School should be closed, and reopen the other Elementry down the block.
I am sorry to inform you that some of the parents get angry and write irresponsible comments about the school when their kids get suspended or get in trouble, we have very strict rules in our school to keep our kids safe and protected, we are one of the best schools in Antelope valley, our API score is 752 which is higher than a lot of the school in our District and Antelope Valley, we follow all Federal,State and Local laws to stay open, otherwise, our district would revoke our license, I wish this parent followed the school uniform complaints procedures in trying to solve his/her issue with the school. Best regards Kamal Al-Khatib-Executive Director
This school is absolutely terrible! Do NOT send your kids to this school! The administration is horrible and does not follow state laws!
Actually look at the API and CST test scores here on Greatschools.org....they aren't that great....and they only got a great schools score of 4 out of 10........not good.......the school may have potential, but it"s not as great as some claim it to be....it has a long way to go......
I love GCS. I moved my child from a PSD school that was so big that my child was lost in the shuffle. She struggles in some subjects and was not receiving any help. At GCS her teachers volunteer their own time after school to tutor her. My only major complaint is that GCS added another 134 students this year. I just hope that they don't forget that a small student population is part of what makes them great.
Well... there are not cameras in the classrooms just on the playground and in the cafeteria, not very odd. As for the strict rules, many schools in the area have behavior issues that Guidance does not, maybe because of the rules? I am glad the children are protected. However, the website does need to be updated and more information added but this issue does not bother me at all. The way a website looks is in now ay an indication of the quality of the education the students recieve.
The teachers are the best!
The Guidance Charter School continues to amaze me. The school continues to boast small class sizes, a high API, and a very safe and secure campus. The staff is amazing and all work together for a bright future for our children...an all around outstanding school!
