My God Son attends this school and it is awesome!! They teachers are very helpful and really care about their students.
Rancho vista Elementary satisfy my expectations as mom. I love the fact that my daughter came from no rading at all since she was in a private kindercare to get the level 2.0 in her first grade. Teachers are proffesionals and make sure yor kids are learning, and teachers show deeply concern so you as parent make the 'duo' the kid needs to succeed.. Parent -Teacher the bes tool for learning!!!
Well I'm excited to start my kids at Rancho Vista this year ,I had to fill out an inter-district form for them to attend there because kept hearing good things about it. It beats Tamarisk which is where they are supposed to be attending according to the district. So I guess as time goes by I will find out for myself how good this school really is or isn't!
Both of my boys attended this school. I been involved with the school site council and experience the caring attitude of the teachers wanting to improve the acamedics and overall environment to be a great place to learn. I attended the school award ceremonies and great parent participation. I would highly recommend this school to parents considering to move to the AV. Keep up the great work.
I love this school. I have a fifth grader, third grader, and kindergartner here. The teachers are good, and love the principal. I think that they have good activities for the kids, and great field trips. The GATE program is okay, but where is it great in the Antelope Valley? Yes, the school is over crowded, but again what school in California isn't? We have been pleased with Rancho Vista, and the PTA does a great job!
I totally agree with the previous comment about the 6th grade teachers(Stiltson and Fitz),but the principal is the best Mrs. Sour. I have a 6th and a 2nd grader, and as a parent that i am i had some questions,Mrs. Sour took the time to answer all the questions asked, she is always willing to answer questions with a smile on her face, and this school take a lot of pride and encourage kids to be better and rewards them for that, which that boosts their self-esteem and makes them want to be better, overall i love this school, maybe a bit overcrowded now,and from my kids point of view the lunch meals are not that good, but I can overlook that.
My child has been attending RV since Kindergarten and I am extremely happy with the teachers. She is a sixth grader this year and has the best teachers. Mrs. Stilson and Mrs. Fitz (Fitzgerald) demand a lot from their students. But I can tell that my daughter is learning this year. The math may be hard but I can see that Mrs. Stilson takes the time to help her students understand the problems. In Mrs Fitz class she has to write essays every month. The positive feedback she gives to the students encourages them to continue to become better at writing. They are caring teachers who are concerned about the children in their class. Bravo to both of them!
This school was excellent a few years ago. Today it is just an average overcrowded place with combo classes and neurotic teachers.
I Love Rancho vista school. I have 3 children who have gone there. One is Graduating from High school this year. Rancho Vista teachers and staff care about the kids. They make sure everyone is taken care of. They set goals and help the students reach for the stars.
