What is incredible to me is the amount of stupidity on this site from parents! No one questioned whether WCS teachers "has control of their students." Simply because you have parents who are investing cash into their child's education, parents who care about the morality and Christian values that their child has, thus you have better behaved kids in the room. Public school kids lack this because the education is FREE and unappreciated. Listen, you are free to think anyway you want, just as I am. How dare you question what I said? Voice your opinion and keep moving, and stop reading everyone else posts NOSY.

This school is the AV's best kept secret! At first, I was reluctant to send my son here because the school looked a bit run down, but it was the best decision ever! My son was previously going to Rancho Vista Elem. and it was way too crowed. The teacher had no control of the class, and the education was below par. My son is really learning now, and the class size is reasonable. No more than 24 kids. As far as the comment about the teachers not being qualified or not having credentials; let me put it to you this way: In Rancho Vista -a public school where all the teachers are supposed to have credentials and degrees, did not have control of the class as these teachers here do. And they certainly didn't teach at such high standards as WCS does! I would also like to know where that person got that information from? Please provide proof.

And you misspelled "ammenities." As it is obvious you are not a scholar, your opinion matters little.

WCS provides excellent core academics and bible knowledge in a loving, caring atmosphere. Classes are small enough for the teachers to manage effectively while getting to know each student. This allows for any needs to be addressed and worked on. Contrary to other parents, I wish there was MORE emphasis on fundraising so additional ammeneties could be added (a cafeteria, gymnasium, paved parking lot, updated restrooms). Anyone doubting the abilty of the teachers needs only look at the Stanford Test scores before passing judgement. Degrees and "credentials" are useless if the teacher doesn't have the authority to control the classroom.

I found this school on the internet, I was desperate because the school that my girls were going to be was rated 4. I am so happy, my two girls are happy. I really recomend this school for parents that are looking for a place that can feel like a second home. They teach your children how to repect and their academics is great.

This is an amazing school. I moved my son who is now in second grade to this school from Cottonwood and my other son started this year in kindergarten. It is a caring environment where my kindergartner is already reading, and my second grade son is so happy to get up and go to a school where kids are kind and thoughtful. No bullying here; just a loving environment where kids feel safe and encouraged to learn and think about others.

To the previous poster: How do you know who has a degree and who doesn't? Making assumptions is not fair nor ethical. I'd be very interested to see how you can state the information that you do and provide the evidence to substantiate it. Most likely this is your personal opinion, which you believe to be fact. You should be careful when making statements about people that you know could be false.

As a business owners in the Antelope Valley we see how competitive it is out there. Our childrens education is very important so when we looked for schools, class size was important as well. This is our fourth year here and what a blessing it has been. The children are both challenged and loved and we couldn't as for anything more. Thank you Westside Christian!

My daughter has been at WCS since kindergarten and we love it. We love that it is a smaller school and all the teachers and most of the kids know each other. My daughter is very happy here and loves that the same children she has been with for years are in her class every year. I plan to keep here at this school through 8th grade. The teachers and the staff truly care for the children and the children are well behaved and respectful.
