A fantastic school with a variety of classes, clubs, sports, and arts. Kehilla harnesses intelligence and creativity, molding young minds into an exceptional students. They are able to give a lot of individualized attention with their small class sizes and outstanding teachers. Also an unbelieveable track record for kids going to good schools after attending Kehillah.

Great school for getting your child into a highly ranked college. My oldest is going to RISD in great measure thanks to the wonderful and supportive staff at Kehillah.

I have three kids who went there. For the most part, they got a top notch education. It fit in well with their academic needs. One of my daughters got to take so many AP courses that she's getting through college in three years. It's a good place to go for talented kids who want to move on to Ivy League schools. My son on the other hand did moderately well for a year and a half. He had one particular teacher he couldn't work with, and the school felt that if he couldn't get through that course, he couldn't graduate so they asked him to leave. I guess that's their sense of community. He made up for the course at another school over the summer and got a B in it. Once he was caught up, he found he liked the other school better, not that Kehillah wanted him back. Unfortunately he became so disillusioned during his final term at Kehillah, knowing that he wasn't welcome back, that his grades plummeted. So now he's making up for some courses to get better grades in them, is doing well and has no stress. Apparently being able to thrive at a fully accredited school isn't enough to prove you can handle the curriculum.

KJHS is a fantastic school. They truly are a community, and they offer a wonderful individualized education to every student who attends. They have a 100% college acceptance rate, and the teachers, staff, and students all genuinely care about each other.

The big disappointment is the principal, however a new head of school has been hired for next year and from what I have seen and heard he should be a big improvement

Kehillah Jewish High School is an outstanding school with rigorous academics. It incorporates Jewish values into everyday life by having tefillot (prayer), community service trips, celebration of holidays, and Jewish studies courses. Everyone is accepting and the school truly encompasses what it means to be a community, which is what "Kehillah" means in Hebrew. Kehillah has a very friendly environment and I have grown close to many people here. Classes are small which allows teachers to be more personalized in their teaching. Students and teachers have a different relationship than in most schools because students are also equals to the teachers; this allows them to have conversations about everyday life, similar interests, and just about anything. The theater programs and music programs are fantastic. The shows and concerts that are put on truly show the students talents. The sports program is good too. Anyone can join any sport they want even if they don't know how to play. Kehillah sports are a great way to get to know more people in different grades and they are super fun too. Overall Kehillah is a great high school and it honestly feels like my home away from home.

If it would be any good there would be a lot more reviews. Unfortunately the school has replaced its head a number of times. They also tend to recycle the advertisements of those very few that got into exceptional schools. In fact those same kids could have gone to East Palo Alto public schools and still would have gotten into the ivies.

Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
