Parent involvement details Parent/teacher conferences, advisory teams, and Parent Kesher (Hebrew for "connection") is the kindergarten through 8th grade organization that supports the school and creates the critical connection between parents, teachers, staff, and our children. We are at the heart of the parent-teacher system of cooperation. To ensure active parent participation, Hausner families commit at least 20 hours of their time to the school during the school year.

Staff details Personal and academic counseling at Hausner is supported throughout the school by our teaching faculty, in collaboration with learning support specialists and a school counselor. Our goal is to help students develop a positive self-concept and assume responsibility for their own learning. In so doing, we raise their awareness of their community and their world.

Enrollment

Application/ enrollment process details New kindergarten student applications are typically due in late January. Late applications are reviewed on a rolling admission basis. We strongly recommend that applicants turn five years of age by September 1 of the year they are entering kindergarten. We accept applications from Jewish and interfaith families who embrace our values of academic excellence, community responsibility and vibrant Jewish living.
