We love this school so much. It's a private school atmosphere at the public level. Each grade is a stepping stone in preparation for the next. My only complaint recently was with the lack of a music program. The new principal has vowed to bring that back this year. The teachers are the best I've ever seen. They truly care about each kid and pay attention to their needs. Couldn't ask for anything more....
North Cow Creek is an excellent school. It has a unique environment where the children are valued by every teacher. There is a very strong sense of community and academic support. I would not send my duaghter anywhere else.
North Cow Creek, since my own early school days, has been offering a wonderful non-biased education to children! The classes remain at an acceptable level needed for children to learn properly and this school tries very hard to keep quality teachers and staff on payroll. This school is started to age and is often forgotten at times, tucked away in a beautiful and safe semi-rural neighborhood. North Cow Creek deserves to win this prize because it has constantly been rated as one of the best in the entire district (as well as state) and despite the funding cut for schools, it has fought hard to remain a great place for children to attend and get a quality education!
Great School. Small Environment where the big kids learn to help the smaller kids. Very involved faculty and parents - down to earth people who care not only about their children but about all the children at the school.
Our son attended 6th, 7th and 8th grade at NCCS. He received a great education from the most talented teachers in Shasta County. The technology program is the best in the county, if not the state. As parents, we always felt welcome to be a part of any activity our son participated in. The parent club is an awesome support group for this school, which we enjoyed being a part of. If you can get your children to this school, do not hesitate to do so. Thank you North Cow Creek School for three great years.
The quality of academic programs are unmatched. Mrs. Towns the computer teacher for all grades is phenomenal and we will miss her as my daughter is changing schools due to the weakness in the vocal music opportunities. Great school for those serious about studies. Homework can be excessive. But overall you can't buy a better education. My five year old will attend there in another year and I can't wait. Not crazy about the kindergarten not being an all day program but the school is filled with such wonderful families it is a pleasure to say I live in the district.
What a great school! I have 3 children who attend and wouldn't send them anywhere else! Great staff, awesome teachers and a very involved principal really make this school stand out. Excellent parental involvement. If you can send your children to this school, you will not regret it!
I have been a parent at North Cow Creek school for nearly 6 years. It is a strong, small school. Very academic, high expectations in a very nurturing environment. It is by far the best public school my children have every attended.
