Paradise High School is definitely not the worst school ever, it's actually a fairly nice school. The teachers are caring and creative and the biggest issue we students have to worry about at the school is always something trivial. We don't have to walk through metal detectors and worry about our safety every morning. The school is safe, secluded, and fun and the only people that don't learn anything 'are' the slackers and pot heads. The rest of us good students actually learn things because we want to and we don't let others personal issues get in the way of our education. There are thousands of other worse schools in the country which, if one were to attend, they would have a far different opinion about our school than they prior. My point is short and simple, stop bitching and make the best of a great school.

This is a great school. I am a parent who has seen what can happen for my children when parents take active roles at home and in the school setting. The teachers are hard working. Improvement needs to be made in tutoring for students and extra curricular activities for all students. The staff cares a great deal about its students

Paradise high school is the absolute worst school you can send your child. There are not enough words to describe how horrible this school is and the people that are running it. Unfortunately, there are not any options in such a small town. Home schooling should most definitely be your 1st option!

Great teachers, but many serious problems with the school. If you are not in an AP or Honors class, chances are that the entire class will be filled with 'slackers' and 'pot heads' and you will learn very little. I'd recommend staying away from PHS if possible, especially with the budget cuts.

Paradise High offers many programs for advanced, average and low performing students. Our students pass AP tests and CAHSEE at a higher average than other schools our size by far! We have high standards and the parents are the ones who are letting their students down. Dress code? Who buys their clothes? Ipod issues? Who provided those for the students? My children know what is expected of them at home and school and I oversee that. How can 65 teachers and 10 more faculty members 'babysit' your child at 1500 students to 100 staff? Take some pride and responsibility for parents part in this also. It's always the same parents involved in all activities. Get involved-Be visible in your child's life.

Lack of respect from students. Poor dress standards that are not enforced. Students use ipods all the time, even though it is against school policy. Counselors won't change teachers to benefit the student, or try to help. If student is not fitting in, beware.

Based on my experience with PHS, I feel it is a program in trouble. Programs for kids needing extra help are nothing more then lip service. The teachers seem burned out. Money seems to be the only thing of any importance. The educational needs of my child are not being met.
