Harambee is an excellent school to foster growth academically and socially. It had a small classroom environment, which allows teachers to work individually with students. the Principal is highly qualified; he has a good rapport with parents and students. Teachers and other staff members appeared to be professional and helpful to parents and students.
We TOTALLY disagree with the prior review!!! We are parents of students that attend Harambee. We love Harambee!! Our 3 children have attended HPS for 5+ years. There are actually 3 accredited teachers at HPS. The teaching is individualized. This teaching has benefited our children through meeting them where they are in learning. Then the teaching is tailored to help them get to the next level of education. The individualized teaching is an encouraging process!! The staff is extremely personable. They teach & mirror positive leadership. They truly care for the children at HPS and community as a whole!! The school also teaches the children strong Christian values. Which is an added benefit you can t get at a public school. This helps to solidify the Christian values and positive values we teach our children at home every day! The school definitely produces academic excellence in their students. Our 3 children have GPA's of 3.6 or better. Our oldest son went on to make the Honor Roll at the school he is now attending!! We would and do recommend Harambee Pre-School & Preparatory School to everyone we know!!!
Harambee is not what it says it is. They are a very small school with 2 teachers teaching 3 grades each. Office staff is very unprofesional. Their interest is not for the students but for the $$$. Called a few times and they don't know information about their school. Went to visit and turned off by how they work. Workers on cell phones, listening to music, ear plugs in ears, no supervision or surcurity. WOW! what not recommend this school.
