This school is great with it's student to teacher ratio. They give individual attention to students and it shows. The teachers actually care about the kids and love what they do and it shows.

DISAGREE WITH PREVIOUS COMMENTS. From the outside Harambee may not look like the best school to attend. However, once you meet the principal and staff you will see that this school is absolutely awesome. I can say this as my children were in Arcadia School district and despite the great reputation they have it is a horrible district to put your child if you are not of Asian decent. We experienced racial issues on a regular basis. We found Harambee through a parent who has three children at the school. By far, Harambee has meet my expectations. From day one I have been pleased with the teachers the staff and the environment. More importantly this is a Christian school and they don't just say that they are, they actually teach our children the bible and have incorporate Christian principles in their teaching. By far the involvement of the principal is like no other. He is very involved in the success of each student. He believes that it is important that both parents and teachers are involved in the success of each student. This school has had a major internal makeover with new staff. Each teacher is qualified to go above and beyond typical expectations.

Seeking a school for my child and came arcoss Harambee while driving. Despite of the location I thought It would be a fit. The school is a dead teachers, or staff to give information. Very messy and not inviting. Looks like they mix all the age groups. Dont think they know how to run a school. Looks like it can use a makeover. I would not reccomend this site to anyone, Did some reasearch and website is nice but not what they far from it.

Harambee is an excellent school to foster growth academically and socially. It had a small classroom environment, which allows teachers to work individually with students. the Principal is highly qualified; he has a good rapport with parents and students. Teachers and other staff members appeared to be professional and helpful to parents and students.

We TOTALLY disagree with the prior review!!! We are parents of students that attend Harambee. We love Harambee!! Our 3 children have attended HPS for 5+ years. There are actually 3 accredited teachers at HPS. The teaching is individualized. This teaching has benefited our children through meeting them where they are in learning. Then the teaching is tailored to help them get to the next level of education. The individualized teaching is an encouraging process!! The staff is extremely personable. They teach & mirror positive leadership. They truly care for the children at HPS and community as a whole!! The school also teaches the children strong Christian values. Which is an added benefit you can t get at a public school. This helps to solidify the Christian values and positive values we teach our children at home every day! The school definitely produces academic excellence in their students. Our 3 children have GPA's of 3.6 or better. Our oldest son went on to make the Honor Roll at the school he is now attending!! We would and do recommend Harambee Pre-School & Preparatory School to everyone we know!!!

Harambee is not what it says it is. They are a very small school with 2 teachers teaching 3 grades each. Office staff is very unprofesional. Their interest is not for the students but for the $$$. Called a few times and they don't know information about their school. Went to visit and turned off by how they work. Workers on cell phones, listening to music, ear plugs in ears, no supervision or surcurity. WOW! what not recommend this school.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
