I must say what a diffrence this school turned out to be. I was about to give up, but with the new principle for the past 2 years Mr. Cochrane has made a big improvment in the school. There are more incentives for the kids to work for, as many kids as there are in the school, he knows them all on a one on one basis. There are a few teachers that still need to improve but, all fith grade teachers and 4th grade teachers pick up the slack of those who have fallen behind. And of course no one can compete in all the years there with Ms. Mclauglin she really gives teachers a good name.

This school is awesome. It has worked on the students side all the time. If there are no extra activities it's because there is no money from the state. It's a great school!

Rio Vista is excellent. With so many principals in a short time and with all the diversity, these teachers are hanging on quite well. This year will be P.I. again, but I know that next year you guys will be out because you have awesome teachers. Your extraordinary working habits will help you excel and in turn you will be at the top of all ERUSD schools. Don't give up, look ahead and you will succeed!!!!!

I gotta say that at the begining rio vista seemed like a nightmare.. four years later... Rio has come a long way.. the istallation of new gates made a big difference estetic wise.. and academic wise I see my child getting better and better.. the teachers are caring and push students in a productive way. they give essentives for young readers and there are truely loving caring teachers here.. but they do need help... Nutrition should be revaluated and the lunch that is provided is very outdated and unhealthy (but that's a district thing I know_).. another concern is the lack of shade in the playground area.. overall I'm still very happy with this school. Mrs Espinoza is a pleasure, and so is Mrs Ibarra.. This school has lots of potential:)

The teachers at this school are very involved and enthusiastic. I have 3 children, 2 of which have graduated to middle school, and all of my children are in the GATE and Honors Programs thanks to wonderful teachers like Ms. Weaver

As a parent that had a daughter at this school ( 1st grade) I have to say I love this school. Academics are very important to both the teachers as well as the Principal. I know from experience that my daughter was learning more here than at her new school. Keep up the good work Rio Vista!
