Piru Elementary School

I am a parent of a kindergartner at piru school this year 2011. I am very concerned about the administration here. This year the principal DID NOT even read the school budget! So our kids lost out on around 70 thousand dollars, which should have been spent on helping our kids who are not up to grade level!!! Things like this should never happen our kids deserve a proper education and that includes educated and qualified administration!!! I hope next year we can at least have that for our children! Our children are the future and we have to fight for their education.

The Staff at Piru School really seems to care about their students in spite of the challenges of working with a diverse range of students involving many socio-economic backgrounds. They tend to take a personal responsibility towards their student's success

Piru Elementary is a wonderful school! I have 5 children and have 6 years of experience in sending them to this school. They have a little farm out on the school grounds which I think is special! The teachers have provided great skills as well as nurtured my children. My kids will go through life with fond memories of this school and great friends that they have made. I would highly recommend it as a top notch school with a small town atmosphere that surrounds it. The staff is courteous and pleasant - in the office and the yard teachers are sweet! Especially Gloria! Very kind hearted people!

This is a terrific small town school, where the teachers, principal, and staff actually care about the students. Over the 4 years my daugher has attended, her teachers have been caring, firm, and completely accessible to answer any questions and resolve any problems. The principal is always available! An excellent learning environment and a top school.
