As a graduate of this school, I think that it was a great place to attend. Good community ties, and nice 'small town' feel still.

This is the best school ever. Great teachers, everyone is so helpfull and friendly. My daughters have made such great friends. I feel my child is safe at this school. I love the principle and also this school is there for our children and thats why we send our children to a school were they will learn and feel safe.

El Dorado HS is a mediocre school. The entire spirit of the place is just flat and unexceptional. My child has been exposed to classrooms that lack discipline, and there has been a revolving door of teachers in two of her classes. It's not a terrible place, and there are individual teachers that are good. However, I'd give the school a grade of C-.

We have had three kids attend El Dorado High School with the youngest being a Junior.I have found that the Principal is the best we have ever seen. And is a leader by example. And the staff seems to follow his lead. Great School

Academics and sports programs are great. Incredible place to raise children. Smog and crime are minimal. Parents seem to be very involved. Lots of public programs as well (ie. swimming lessons, public pools many others.)

I've had 2 children graduate from EDHS, and the third is a Junior this year. I have to say I'm a little bit sorry that I won't have the interaction with the wonderful, caring staff at EDHS after that. I've always told my children that the educational possibilities are endless, no matter where you go to school. All the knowledge you could ever desire is right there inside the walls of that school. The staff at EDHS make learning interesting - My daughter's in the Health Academies program, and I think it's one of the best thing offered at the school. Maybe we've just been lucky, but the extremely exceptional instructors have way outnumbered the bad instructors. The students are motivated daily at EDHS.

EDHS is an outstanding education environment challenging students to reach their highest achievement. In comparison with other schools in the district, EDHS students show the most growth when compared in their skills from the ninth grade to the end of the eleventh grade. A warm, inclusive environment builds respect for others and promotes effective problem-solving. EDHS is surrounding by caring, experienced staff dedicated to all the students. Enriching opportunities are available to all in the athletic, arts, music, drama, technical, and club programs. EDHS has a history a success in the Advanced Placement program with graduates gaining academic scholar recognition under the guidance of highly qualified instructors. A special community school in the foothill town of Placerville is long on positive traditions while training leaders for the 21st century.
