UHS consistently ranks among the best public high schools in PA and, after graduating, I can attest this is not in error. UHS has a number of aspects that help to gain its favor, including an outstanding staff of highly motivated teachers, a dedicated and intelligent student body, and overwhelming community support. The school is currently under construction that will forever enhance the landscape of the facility and broaden the scope of academic achievement. Like every school however, there are aspects needing improvement. The current US education system allows for some underperforming teachers to slow educational development in students and, in that regard, UHS is no exception. In addition, students are held to a standard of collegiate performance, which has its downfalls. Admission into top colleges is increasingly selective and any boast in GPA can make the difference between not only acceptance but also scholarship money. Once in college, it is apparent that a 4.0gpa in one school is not equal to a 4.0 at another. The level of difficultly at UHS makes getting into top colleges more challenging while simultaneously making college easier once a student arrives there.

Jonh Marshall is the safest school I have ever seen i think i might let my son join it. The quality of the school is so fasinating the way principal villa does everything this shool super passes lorbeer and palomares and freemont only if it had more funds.

My daughter went to this school and I was disappointed. Teachers there are willing to help out those students that reachout. However, very little parent involvement translates to poorly behaved kids. I had to be on my daughter like hawk. I felt as though expections were lowered due to the type of students and it affected the quality of education my daughter recieved.

my view of marshall middle school is a good one i think it's a school that is getting better with age. it has devloped many programs thought the years some of the activities the school offers is sports, band, a.s.b, a.v.i.d ,drama, yearbook ,computers, photgaerf. i really love their asb group they are one of the most involed i've ever seen they do dances fundrizer and many other activties they even opend their own student store. their parent involvement level has really grown in the pass three years i think now that the parents and teacher are more involved the students have also.
