Not so thrilled about this school. You can't understand half of what the aides are saying due to a language barrier. Granted the staff are pleasant you almost get the feeling that most are not happy working there especially around children. There is no certified teachers on staff which means no real training on handling challenging situation that have occured at the school. This school is more like a DAYCARE rather than a Child Development Center. Aides are only required to complete 30 hours of child care courses which really puts them in the same catogory as babysitters.
My son was shy when he first entered Little Explorers 2 years ago, and now he is outgoing. His teacher told me he is well past what a 5 year old should be developmentally, and the school is clean. The teachers are all helpful & friendly and the snacks/food served are healthy. I would highly recommend this school to any parent; I'm very sad we moved & my son has to leave.
Clean & Nice School. Caring staff. My 2 kids are attending the school since 2007. Highly recommended.
Really love this Center for children. My two daughters attend and I am extremely pleased. The teachers are loving and caring.I reccommend this center for anyone who is looking for a center that cares about you and your family.
I am in the military and moving to the States with a four year old who speaks mostly a language other than English was a huge concern. After my daughter started attending this school her English language skills and word association rapidly improved with each day. I am not saying it wouldn't have happened if she hadn't attended another school, but the personal attention, home work, computer time and other social events they have at the school was definitely a plus. The staff was extremely helpful and confident when I was in the process of choosing schools. They also let us set in on classes. It seemed to me and my wife the curriculum was well structured and the students spent a lot of time in the learning process. My daughter has been there for approximately three months and I am very happy with her progress.
It is a great experience for my son to join this team. I think he has improved very much since I put him into Port Hueneme. Knowing 2 languages has been very difficult for him, and teachers there have helped him so much, that he's not willing to leave. Thanks a lot to the teachers, staff, and defintly the director. Their graduations are wonderful, and they really make a kid feel like they have improved, and done great job in school. There is nothing like putting your child in early care before going into school. Great Academics! Job well done Port Hueneme! And thanks once again!
