I transferred from Porterville High School to Granite Hills my senior year after taking AP English and AP U.S. History at Granite Hills my junior year (I still attended PHS for the rest of my classes.) While the city has failed to acknowledge the success of their smallest public high school, Granite Hills is BY FAR the better school with an award-winning online newspaper, the best AP class selection, AP teachers, and AP student scores, two former recipients of the Gate Millenium Scholarship, and more. PHS barely beats Monache with a near zero pass rate on most AP exams.
I love Granite Hills High School. They have many opportunities for their students. I have noticed that my 2 high schoolers have really grown here. I also love the way they take high school a step futher and get the students involved in getting into college. This a great schol
Granite Hills High School is one of the most under rated high schools in Porterville and it really shouldn't be. It has the most qualified staff of educators that work really hard to inspire students to pursue a higher education. The campus is amazing and beautiful. The programs associated with the school are all top notch. This high school on the East Side of Porterville has quietly been making a name for itself and with champs in the classroom and on the playing field it's only right that they get the recognition they work so hard to earn.

This school is an excellent school with a beautiful campus that outshines nearby schools. It's Academic Decathlon team wins county competition every year and goes to state competition. It's online newspaper, the Grizzly Gazette, has been named a top three winner in the nation from the NSPA Online Pacemaker Award, and is waiting on results for the year 2008. It's AP program has the highest pass rate in the district, and it has more students go off to college after high school than any other high school in the district. With great teachers and a very very nice and involved principal, who wouldn't want to go to Granite Hills High School?
I am an Alumni from Granite Hills. Granite Hills was the best 4 years of my life. I made friends that will always be there and the best memories. The staff was always amazing and willing to help, as well as the students. Everyone gets along and tries to make the school great. Even though Granite is on the East side, it still beats all of the other schools hand down.
Granite Hills is a wonderful school. Where everyone one gets along both in and out of the class rooms. They go by the California standards and beyond! Granite Hills High School is an amazing, with lots activites and clubs. For example, Link: This club is for all freshmen. Helping them with there studies, showing them where there classes are at, and showing them not to be scared about wanting to learn. This club is runned by Teachers, Juniors, and Seniors. Granite Hills is a outstanding place to learn and to make amazing memories.
Wow.. all I got to say is this is great school.
