I am currently attending Sequoia Middle School, it is by far the most violence free campus in Porterville. It sets high standards both academically, and morally. The teachers are amizing if you don't get it the first time, you have a chance to re-take the test and strive higher, of course Sequoia students strive for all 5's so if we miss we still did good.
This is one of the best schools in Porterville i have ever seen. It is very clean. They hardly have any fights.
I went there my two middle school years and it is a really great school. The teachers are all great and fun to around. The 7th grade algebra and 8th grade geometry class was most likely my favorite. We used really involved techniques of learning on the computers and very fun projects.
Sequoia waz a pretty cool skewl. I was the first 7th graders there. Mrs.Efseaff is the best teacher of all time. Mr.Cox is pretty kewl too.
This is the best middle school in the district by far, but that doesn't say much. It is a school that is all talk and no action in the sense that the activites, staff, and enviroment are said to be great when they are for the most part just satisfactory. However, there are some excptions when staff is concerned, because there are a few great teachers.
Great Administrators and awesome staff. Teachers are very prompt responding to my questions and giving good feed back about my child. They have a lot of activities to get students involved and feel connected.
