AN excellent choice of schools if you are interested in Montessori. This campus, unlike other Montessori schools actually practices the principles that help develop children that are self-directed, self-sufficient, and capable of demonstrating sound decision-making as they get older. This school is not for everyone. Family involvement and participation is encouraged to ensure kids are getting consistent messages at home as well as at school. The staff is great, and is more than willing to work with parents to help develop children and their skills. If it's day care you want during the day - keep looking - this is a SCHOOL, not a baby sitting facility.
This school has different teacher from outstanding to weak . If your boy has a weak teacher , and you have an active kid , they will advise you to go to specialist . Volunter is higher recommanded . Of course , they always have different party or events which may make make you happy if you are going pay extra money . You are not sure if your children is really educated or you just enjoy they are in different shows. Fortunately , I transfered my son to another preschool which is almost same tuition . To my surprise , my son made great disciplined achivement at new school .Every teacher and kids love him . And in this new school, I met another boy transfered from Peninsula Montessori School whose parents has the same opinion .
Peninsula Montessori School is an excellent early childhood education center! My daughter just completed preschool and is happily reading, beautifully writing, and adoring math. She has done many art projects, a handful of 'shows' and really loves learning! What more can I ask for in a school? She is begging to start kindergarten tomorrow and skip summer vacation. Ms. Gaby and Ms. Paula made her first educational experiences the best ever! I could never thank them enough.
Peninsula Montessori is the best school in South Bay. It has the best teachers in the world and the administration is so good that teachers stay for many many years. If you are looking for a school for your child, dont even think twice. Peninsula will be your best choice.
We have 2 children that attend montessori and we could not be happier. The teachers go above and beyond to provide each child with an education that adapts to their learning style. Most importantly both of our children love school and feel very proud about their accomplishments. Nothing is more satisfying than having self-motivated children, as they are given the opportunity to guide and influence their own education.
My boys absolutely love this school. They are confident and come home so excited about their day. It is so great to not have to worry about their safety, happiness or education throughout the day. As a working mom, I am reassured that my boys are in good hands.
We were extremely happy with this school. Our children attended through fifth grade, and entered public middle school as well-prepared, self-motivated and confident students, both academically and socially.
Thanks for calling my children a 'stepford child' We have 2 great kids that love the school - it might not be for everyone but my daughters are very different and both loved the school and was not happy when we moved her to public school. My youngest is still there and had a different techer perfect for her.
Unless you have a quite good-listener child, you can choose this school. If you like montessori methord, and you want your child benefit from montessori methord, this is not the school you are looking for.
This is a wonderfrul school, with caring staff and directors. Children are taught to communicate their feelings and needs in a way that will take them far in life. The owner Claudia puts her 'all' into the school and has a way with children, staff and parents that make a person feel that they are a number one prioriety on her list. I feel that this school is a 'little bit of heaven' here on earth!
The school is fine if you have 'Stepford children,' who exactly match their expectations and 'self-directed' study of dull crafts and xeroxed worksheets, but if you are looking for a true Montessori environment with real life learning experiences, and true self-directed learning, this is not it. The staff is too worried about the fake grass getting ruined or the classrooms being out of order. And if your child doesn't fit the mold they're expecting, they'll conveniently send your child to be 'evaluated for ADHD' by a specialist that just happens to be the owner's daughter. And as for teachers going the extra step? Not unless they're paid privately by you for additional tutoring. If your child is bright, creative, talented, extraordinary, this is not the place for him or her. Just the opposite of what I was expecting from a Montessori school.
Warm and wonderful teachers. Great school for kids who are self-directed and can work independently. However, expect a lot of scrutiny and not a lot of empathy if your child is going through a difficult period.
