The staff - if the staff is not top rate and work well together, the children suffer. The principal, office staff, teachers, janitors, parents, children - all work together to make this an amazing school.
This school has excellent principal leadership and exceptional administration staff, however it does have a few teachers who seem to be 'racing to retirement'. This school boasts excellent tests scores as proof of its method of 'teaching to the test' and there are many areas in which the students miss out on other ways of learning. I have watched this school continue to improve greatly over the last few years and my students felt very content and secure while attending. Mira Catalina could use technology a little more efficiently, and possibly look around and see what other resources are being used by other school in the district as well as the state of Califoria. Overall a parent should feel very good about having their child attend this school.
Mira Catalina is a great school. The teachers are committed and the principal (Mr. Keeney) is genuinely concerned about his students--both socially and academincally. I would highly recommend the school to any parent.
It's an excellent school. Kids will be challenged to reach their highest academnic potential. Thanks to high parental involvement and donations, the school provides a music program and P.E. in all grades. Mira Catalina also strives to teach kids the principles of good character.
Great school! The children thrive there and feel a place of belonging. The staff is wonderful.
There is a lot of parental involvement, a great plus. The school lacks effective leadership. There are quite a few great teachers, and some mediocre ones.
