We have lived all around the U.S.A, and moved to RPV a few years ago-- in the process we've had experiences with schools from one end of this country to the other. I have never, in all my years as a parent (we have four children), seen another school as warm, inviting, and well-run as Pt. Vicente Elementary. We're absolutely crazy about Mrs. Cash. She cares so much about the kids, and is so approachable, and easy to talk to... and the office manager (Mrs. Atwood) is so friendly, helpful, and patient-- and OH! The teachers are wonderful! Pt. Vicente hit the awesome-teacher jackpot over and over! They don't just go through the motions, they really love to teach their kids-- and it shows. I will miss this school so very much when we have to move again. I've never fallen in love with a school and a community this way, and I can't think of any place I'd rather see my kids experience elementary school. This was the best elementary experience we could have given our kids. If only we could take Pt. Vicente with us! :)
Our family moved from the Central Coast of California and are new this year to this school. It is hands down the best school we have had our boys attend. The teachers and principal Becky Cash are top notch. My sons have Mrs. Karla Vetal and Mrs. Gant. They are the most thoughtful, creative, engaging talented teachers we have been blessed to have and our family is so grateful for our move based on the experience at this school. Keep up the great work Point Vicente Elementary.
This school has it all -- music, science, international awareness, foreign languages, as well as the usual subjects. Phenomenal quality of principal and teachers across the board, too.
This is a terrific public school. The Principal Becky Cash cannot be beat. She loves kids, loves her job and is so active and such a booster for the school. We are only starting our second year here but visited at least 5 PV schools before moving here and picked Point Vicente because of the principal as well as their emphasis on science and technology and Mrs Cash's committment to hands on learning. She is committed to getting the kids out on monthly or bi monthly field trips as well as other hands on activities. The choir teacher is very strong, there is a gorgeous tech lab, hands on garden, yearly archeological dig and a teacher who brings her animals to class-tortoises and reptiles.
It doesn't get better than Pointe Vincente Elementary.
This school is amazing. The kides love so much playing near the sea. Nature and peace, good school program give us pleasure.
This school is just great. My kids love this school.
Point Vicente is absolutely a top school. I have only good things to say about the principal, teachers, parents, students and also Kids Corner.
My son went to this school and he LOVED it. The teachers are great the there is a huge emphasis on education. Not only was my son challeged to do his best, he was in a safe enviornment.
Smallest school in the PVPUSD. Very warm school with active parent participation. Strong Kindergarten, 1st and 5th grade teachers. Highlights of school year include talent show and multicultural festival.
