The best elementary school on the hill! Due to the great teachers there, knowledgeable principal's leadership and all the parents that choose to be involved. Very competitive!

I have a son in this school who loves it! He's doing very well and has many friends. Parents are very involved. We are looking forward to our second child attending next year. Principal is great! Addresses issues at the school immediately, discreetly and with grace. Teachers are concerned and work with the individual in mind. Wish: more permanent structures!

Great school, professional and qualified staff and a solid principal combined with high parent involvement all add up to a quality education. I work in education on the other end of the spectrum and I can say we are blessed to have our child go to this school!

Overall, the school is strong but the short K day can be a frustration, as can be the lack of attention, until forced recently by a local proposed charter school, to the high number of highly gifted students. Some cliqueishness among parents, you will find that anywhere. Most teachers are outstanding, a few are best in the LA area, but there are a few who need work, in terms of motivation. Students are 100% safe, except in the 2 far first grade classrooms that border the street and necessitate a solo walk to the bathroom outside. Principal works hard, office staff could use some congeniality training, but again, that is true everywhere!

The key to success has been assembled by a professional staff, tenured and outstanding faculty and parents that stand in line to help in the classroom and campus life. Both of my kids have exceeded their goals in fun and learning with displined skills for middle school.

We're extremely happy with Silver Spur. The principal and teachers are very strong and committed to the success of all students. Parent involvement is exceptionally high too. Our daughter loves her teacher and is thriving in such a positive environment.

The parent participation at Silver Spur is unbelievable. It is not mandatory but their is a waiting list to be able to get in and work in your childs classroom.
