My Daughter Justice went to a failing grade to an avererage 92-100% on her spelling and sentences tests. Also went from a kindergarden reading level to a second grade reading level in the fist grade this year, she as amazingly improved in other aspects as well. I am very pleased with columbia school. My daughter loves her teacher Mrs. Wilson. One day Justice was having homework troubles,so we called her teacher at home.Mrs. wilson did her homework with her that night over the phone. Thats a good teacher.

Principal, teachers, and office staff are very friendly and open for discussion about each individual child's needs. We have two children in special needs classes and the support they receive is AWESOME! We moved here from another school district where our kids only got the minimum of what they needed. At Columbia, they listened, we learned from eachother about our children and we work together for them to achieve their best results. The kids love their teachers and aids. I highly recommend this school in this area.

My son recently started Kindergarten at Columbia. So far, I have been extremely impressed. He absolutely loves it there! Also, I have been amazed at how much he has learned in such a short period of time. I am very impressed with his teacher and the office staff.

I have had three children attend Columbia from Kindergarten up, my third child now in his last year (5th grade) there. Columbia is a nice, country-ish style of school. All of the teachers and staff there greet me by first name. They have always encouraged parent involvement. Great field trips. One thing to note in particular, Columbia School district is a very small district, just Columbia and Mountain View Middle School. That, in my opinion, allows them to come up with unique policies (Mountain View is considered very strict)and most recently grading guidelines.

Columbia Elementary is a very good school, with the motto 'Kids First'. Columbia takes their motto seriously, and for that, I am thankful.

Columbia is a gem of a school, with quality staff (certificated & classified), which strives to meet the needs of all students. Provides supportive learning community and extra programs that challenge students in music, language and academics. A caring 'Kid's First' environment that isn't just a slogan but a way of 'doing business'. Growing, dynamic, caring and effective. A good place to be for kids, parents and educators. Check it out!

I really have enjoyed having my children attend Columbia School. They had attended a private school, where I thought I was giving them a better education. When I transfered my son was below average in his reading. He quickly caught up and is reading at, and a little above his average. My daughter is in a preschool program that is on the campus and it's been a pleasure having them together. I have a first grader, so I can only comment on first grade, but the teachers have been great and I hope it continues for the rest of the years.
