My daughter has been at Lassen View since kindergarten and I have been involved with the Parent Club (4yrs) until this year. She has this year and next and I knw she will and myself will miss the great staff and the loving place it is!
An excellent elementary school! Top notch teachers, all very concerned about their students. This school has a real family atmosphere. It is the only school I have ever seen where the staff room is welcoming and inviting for parents, staff and visitors. Everyone eats lunch at one table, and everyone is equally valued.
The parent involvement has been good all 3 years my son has attended Lassen view. Everyone has their own idea about how to discipline children. When the school elects a new parent to their council, the parent needs to be evaluated. Not everyone is able to decide what is 'acceptable' behavior. I feel like the disciplinary actions taken by parents and or volunteers should match the schools policies.
