Great teachers. Down-to-earth parents. Top-notch education with gifted program and resources for those who need help. We've been there many years and love it!!! It's the parents, kids and teachers who really make it great!

Jefferson has some of the most involved parents I've ever encountered. We truly come together as a community to support our kids and teachers, especially when budgets get cut - we pull together to try and make the school experience the best possible for everyone involved. I'm so happy we 'lucked' into this school - it's make all the difference in both of my sons' lives.

I love this school. The parents are extremely involved, the principle is outstanding and my daughter's teacher was phenomenal. There more volunteers for my daughters class than hours to volunteer, plus the running club, Hands-On Art and Living Well programs were all staffed by deeply committeed volunteers who did an outstanding job. The principal leads by example and never asks anyone to do anything she won't do herself (she even leads morning exercises and was bagging groceries or cleaning up after fund raisers). My daughters teacher was amazing, truly one of the best teachers I have ever encountered.

Jefferson goes above and beyond to make the parents and students welcome every day and create an environment that will excel their learning. Our daughter is in 2nd grade and we have regular communication with her teacher through email or in person when needed. Having access to her to ask a quick question or share what's going on with our daughter is a great way to build a partnership with the teachers. We have had a wonderful experience and I HIGHLY recommend Jefferson to area parents. Our daughter also has SEVERE nut allergies and Jefferson has come a long way in the past 2 years to create nut free areas for the kids to have lunch but also not make them feel isolated by allowing them to invite one friend to the nut free tables each day....it really makes a difference! Great teachers, great environment, great school!!!

We transfered from another school within the district, and wow what a difference. There are many reasons why Jefferson rates the highest. The parent involvement is more than the same 30 parents, the teachers truely take the time to work with every student, and the principal is always there. Principal Edmunds is available not only to the parents but for his staff, and students. I have seen him first hand on the yard and the kids go out of their way to chat and say hello. He knows all the students by name, and makes everyone feel very welcome and part of a family. If you want your child to exceed any expectations you would want them at Jefferson.

Jefferson seems to offer the children what they need to advance. I feel the teachers should be approachable and that they should always try to be a positive example for the chldren not make them shy away from asking questions when needed. Overall Jefferson has come a long way.

What a wonderful school and community in general. Everyone is always more than helpful and friendly. This has been my sons greatest learning adventure he comes home with something new to talk about everyday.
