Four stars for the elementary school and two for the middle school, and thus my overall of three stars. This is not a good school for kids with learning disabilities. The school is stuck in the mode of needing to keep up with test scores and state curriculum mandates, so there is not a lot of room for any sort of individualized learning. Unfortunately, I suppose that is true of many schools in this state. That being said, all is mostly good until you get to the middle school, where the kids are not provided with any sort of interesting or new curiculum, nor given much direction on the subjects that are being taught, yet are held to rigid standards without being given much guidance on how to attain them.

My children love learning and as a result they are doing well in school. The teachers and the administrators are excellent and responsive to our needs. Roy Cloud includes parent volunteers consistently. Most impressive is that their test scores rival that of neighboring Northstar which requires high test scores for admission. Roy Cloud educates all-comers to nearly the same standard. If you want to know your children's friends, be included in the education process and feel a part of a wonderful community, Roy Cloud is the school for you!

This school started with a great foundation and has only dramatically improved since Greg Land became the new principal bringing effective differentiation in math and reading, which has led to a great math program. This had led more parents to want to keep their kids at R. Cloud instead of sending to N. Star which does not have the advanced math approach.

The principal, Greg Land, loves this school and the students in it. I have been very happy with the level of education that my three kids have been receiving at Roy Cloud, and the volunteer participation is top notch.

Roy Cloud has a wonderful group of parents and teacher who work together for the kids. The PTA has been working hard to subsidize programs for the kids that would have been eliminated by the State budget cuts. The school grounds are lovely, every child at Roy Cloud can feel proud to say 'that's my school!'

They have fabulous, caring, charismatic teachers! And they have a new, energetic principal that listens to parents and cares very much for his school. Our test scores and happy students exemplify the schools values and goals and their accomplishments towards them.

The teachers Rock! And the PTA works hard to support after school enrichment programs.
