i like the style of teaching
Over the past 6 years, I have had 2 children pass through Kolb. Both have been in the GATE program. For the most part, I have been satisfied with the quality of their education. We have seen 3 different pricipals during our time, with the current administration being the strongest. Their dedication to solving discipline problems and creating a safe learning environment have truly made a difference. While there are some below average teachers at Kolb, they are far outnumbered by the excellent ones. Ms. Mooney, Mrs. Brunson, Mrs. Myrdal, Mr. Combs, Mrs. Clifton, are just a few of the many gifted, caring teachers who take genuine interest in their students' educations. As with all Rialto schools, great emphasis is placed on raising standardized test scores. I do feel this sometimes hurts the overall education of our students, taking time that could be spent on more creative learning experiences.
