I would not send my student to Rosamond High School. RHS is a small school that is behind about 20 years or more. The principal is horrible and the school treats the students and parents like 2nd rate citizens if you are not favored by the school staff. I would never send my child to this school or district.

Rosamond High school is a good school with a lot of potential. Teachers want students to succeed and learn and do their best to challenge the students that want to learn. We have a strong community that has forgotten about the importance of parent involvement in student education. Parents need to get involved and stay involved in order to turn around school spirit and student accountability in both education and extracurricular activities.

The involvement with Edwards Air force Base ad the Marines have taught my son respect and self discipline. He is now on track for a full scholarship through the Air force. There's no other school in AV that can offer this connection.

I have attended Rosamond High School for three years. All in all it is a good school. The only thing is that they do not offer as many classes as other schools do, the counselors do not guide you on colleges and what classses might prepare you for the field you want to enter. The campus security is a joke and so are the security cameras. With a school population of less than 1000 we don't need all the law enforcements. They should spend that money on something useful like hiring more teachers or new computers for the career center. I am transfering this year to a school with better teachers, classes and athletics.

Everyone tries to say that Rosamond doesn't have the same quality of education as some other high schools in the Antelope Valley. However, our student test scores (which is a 'general' reflection of their teachers) are higher than many of the 'elite' schools that we get compared with. I, for one, am extremely proud of the science department, and we excel above and beyond the other schools nearby, coming out TOP of this valley with our State test scores for most of the 11 years I have been teaching there. You couldn't ask for a more caring group of teachers than you will find at RHS!!! I mean a vast majority of the teachers. The students don't fear for their lives, they are not physically harassed or persecuted. There are no race wars, or gang wars. Our students take pride in this school. What more could you want?

Three of my four children graduated from RHS. They received a quality education, participated in sports, and graduated with honors. The high school experience is what you make of it. If you focus on the negative, then you'll have a negative experience. My kids focused on the positive and would not trade their high school years for anything.

I pulled my daughter out of [another school]. She is doing much better in the smaller classes at Rosamond. The kids are not Chliquie. I like the campus security as well. Over all I am very happy with my choice and the school

Most high schools these days resemble a college campus, Rosamond is far from that. From It is terribly unfortunate that no one demands higher standerds there in Rosamond, for it's teachers, students, educational offerings, etc... The sports teams are availible but the facilities are hurendous, again no one demanding higher standards. The flip flopping of the schools admin. year after year, no consistency for the kids there. It is just a crying shame that these kids, our future, can't receive anything better.
