| More about the school's culture | We have many school partnerships. They include, involving our local middle-schoolers to come and help out in our afterschool programs. Cal State Los Angeles students provide parent and teacher trainings. Music Center of Los Angeles conducts teacher and student workshops and provides us with music and drama performances. Our newest partnership is with South Pasadena High School as their students come and investigate and problem solve with Bitely's students on how to make Bitely an even greater school. Besides our State Awards, we have been the recipients of many grants. Beginning in 2004 we received a Reading Excellence Act Grant, we have received two grants from SCE New Era Award, a Riordan Foundation grant and most recently a WAMU grant for teacher colloaboration. We think that Bitely School is great already but we are striving to make it even greater! |
