This is a great virtual academy! My daughter is enrolled in the k-6 elementary school and she is doing great! she was sturggling in math at her previous school and not getting the attention that she needed. With this school, i get to work with her one-on-one and it accomodates our busy schedule!! Our teacher is flexible, informative and very attentive to our needs. Great school! Please don't let one bad review out of 4 reflect the hundreds of students that attend this school. It is amazing!

I was a student with IQ Academy for about six months and I must say that this is the worst school I have ever been to. I have had issues right from the start. On the first day of school, I was not able to get into ay classes. In fact, I haven't been able to get into any classes for about a week. Once I was able to get into the classes, i was bumped in and out of class. The teachers didn't listen to the issues i was having. The teachers are not really teachers at all. My mom was my teacher for the time i was at the school. In my opinion, the teachers were only there to let you know that you are failing, nothing more. The coarse work its self was a nice challenge but way too much for one week. One week for a single class consisted of about one essay, two to three journals, two quizzes, and reading a very long and not detailed lesson. Iq ruined my chances of getting into my dream school. I do not recommend this school.

I wouldn't even give them a star at all. I have nothing but problems with them since I enrolled my 8th grader in their program. We had issues with them regarding the assignments not going through and my daughter failed all but one of her classes. She would do the assignments and the teachers would inform her and me as well that she hasn't been doing any of the assignments. The child has worked so hard and for what? F's, this school is horrible and then to top everything off, I received a certified letter this evening informing me that they are dropping her from the program because she isn't doing anything to show her teachers that she is doing the assignments. I wish that I did the research a little more on this program. Knowing what I do now, I wouldn't refer any child to their program and in fact, I am planning on removing both of my children from this terrible program.

Parent Beware this school is not an accredited school by WASC and credits are NOT transferable from a non-accredited school! Although funded by the state of CA they have not applied for accreditation so credits earned do not count as true credits within the public schools. Do more research before enrolling your child!

This school has been nothing but trouble I believe that parents should think about different home schools for there children. I have had problems with teachers. They are very unorganized.
