I have been very pleased with Merryhill over the past 7 years. The staff and teachers are always available and willing to help with the progress of my child. I feel that their support has helped her reach many goals. She is the youngest and not the smartest but after I saw her test scores above average and higher I realized that this was a perfect fit. Small class sizes, teacher support, and personal learning plans as helped make my child succeed within her own limits.

I have had children in Merryhill on Eastern for 3 years. The teachers in the elementary and middle school grades are always available to discuss my children and any questions I may have about thier social or academic needs. Merryhill offers small class sizes with a big experience.

My daughter is currently attending kindergarten at this location & I agree that the curriculum is above average. However, the office staff could use some improvement. My child sat in the office for almost 2 hours, sick, waiting to go home. The office called right away & left a message. Over an hour later, they did not bother trying another number. Thankfully, 2 hours later, I eventually received the message. This is the third time an incident has occurred that I felt was unacceptable for the quality of care that Merryhill claims to provide. And do not get me started on the preschool. After 4 years, I realized it is equivalent to a daycare! My child is a year behind because of the lack of education at the preschool. I tried providing what I thought was the best. After 5 yrs & $45k+ later it hurts to know I have failed!

the school was great for the most part, however, a lot of the teachers tended to play favorites and would look the other way if their favorite student did something against school rules.

I have two children in the Merryhill School System. It is such a pleasure to drop my kindergardener and my sixth grader off at the same time. The teachers are caring, respectful and highly effective instructors, who take a real interest in the students. I feel that my children are safe and happy and growing emotionally and intellectually. Merryhill Eastern is a wonderful shcool!!!

I agree with one of the commenters -- although the elementary school is great, the middle school is lacking -- the staff do not follow the Merryhill concepts, given the entire middle school only consists of about 30 students, that speaks for itself. If only the middle school staff were not allowed to run the school independent of Merryhill concepts, things could be better.

My daughter has gone to Merryhill Eastern Ave. since pre-school. She will graduate next year to the middleschool. We have had an amazing time, we love all the teachers, my daughter has grown into a beautiful young lady and she is b=very smart. The philsophy at Merryhill is this, respect, kindness, and caring. Academically, my daughter knows about things that we were never taught until 7th grade. I'm grateful and thankful for Merryhill Eastern Ave!

This school has excellent teachers and a caring staff. They provide Spanish, music, art, computer, and PE as well as before and after care and a good summer program.
