My daughter attended Main Ave from Kindergarten to 3rd grade. I felt that the staff was exceptional. Unfortunately, I also felt that the schools curriculum was little to none. Main Ave seemed to only to barely meet state standards instead of attempting to exceed it. Almost half of the children could only speak broken english, it must have put such a burden on the teaching staff to try and teach a wide range of students. My daughter did great at Main Ave. but I chose to transfer her to a school where, focus wasn't set on teaching students to speak english or just meeting state standards, where a majority of the students were on same level. She is working hard now to achieve her good grades as opposed to always being the top of her class.

Main ave is a great school. Our boys started at main part way into the their 4th and 6th grade years. We have requested an intra district transfer for last 2 years to keep our youngest at main. Renee and cory in the front office are so helpful and friendly. I have been happy with the teachers and how easy it is to get ahold of them. I would recomend this school to anyone. I'm sad that this will be our last year with main as our youngest is going into 6th grade.

Main Ave. is a great school. The teachers really care. Our third grade teacher even gave me her home phone number in case I needed to contact her over the summer. Mr. Reyes is also a very caring and friendly person. He knows the names of ALL the students at school! The ladies in the front office are wonderful too. I would recommend Main Ave to anyone. I only wish my daughters could stay there past the 6th grade. It's a great place!

Main Avenue has been a wonderful school for my family. From my two younger sisters, to my two children and now my niece and nephew. My son was very ill his 3rd and 4th grade years, they have made him feel safe and secure in every way since then. The accomidations made over the years to encourage his continued growth has been amazing. I love the small town feel of this school and the personal attention given to each parent and child. My family loves this school and gives it a perfect 10....I wish there were more after school activities for the children, however...

The school campus is fairly small with a great atmosphere. I currently have two children there, one graduated 2004. The staff seems very friendly and helpful. Mr. Reyes is a great principal. Overall, I am very satisfied with this school.

If your child is a GATE (Gifted and Talented Education) student, this is a great school full of advantages for her/him!
