Wow... I too graduate from this school in 98, I hoped to in roll my child in this school.. I rembers lots of fun and exciting things about this school. But now reading all these reviews making me think twice , but I see that they change 99% of the staff members. I guess after the sisters left the school went down hill. I was hoping some of my old teacher would guid my Childers though this school but no point now since they are all gone now. I extremely disappointed to see this many bad review...
The teachers for middle school are very lazy teachers that don't care about how the student is doing. I am a graduated student of this school. The teachers don't help students if they are struggling and even some of the teachers tend to curse in class a lot. I would not recommended this school for middle school students but i would recommended it for primary grade students. (K - 6) -Anonymous Graduate Student
My son just finished 1st grade. My husband and I are very pleased with his academic growth. The educational setting is conducive to learning and much is done to praise students for expected behavior. The teachers are supportive and the principal knows every child by name. I would strongly recommend this school to any family who wants thier child to attain a great education while acquiring religious character.
We had one child graduate and another soon to follow, very happy with school. Great teachers who care. Academic expectation is challenging but reachable. Playground needs updating. Would not have my kids anywhere else.
The middle school teachers and principle at this school do not care about the students who are struggling. I would not recommend this school to anyone and I regret the day I enrolled my child there. I wish someone would have told me these things before I subjected my child to this uncaring, unloving environment.
This school has a great religious atmosphere. PK-5 grade is great! The middle school, on the other hand, is in need of a lot of help. There is no good relationship between the parents and teachers. The middle schoolers are overwhelmed with tons of homework that they are not prepared for. The teachers do not just punish an individual student who is disrupting the class, they punish the whole class/group. The teachers seem not to care about the students. If your child falls behind, your child will fail! I would reccomend this school for your child from pre-kinder to 5th grade. Good luck!
My daughter is in the Middle School and yes there are tons of homework. These children are trained to have the discipline that they will need to prepare them for more challenging tasks in highschool and in college. My daughter is excelling very well, academically, and at the same time, is able to enjoy extra curricular activities. I'd like to recommend this school to children that want to excel academically and at the same time embrace Catholic education.
I agree with the last posting. I had to pull all my children out of this school after my oldest started the 'middle school program'. The students are given an enormous amount of homework and are not given enough instruction during class to complete the work. They can either keep up or they will fail. It appears that the teachers do not want to teach, they just hand out assignments for the kids to do at home. My child would spend up to 5 hours a night trying to finish all the homework. Forget about any after school programs, NO WAY, there isn't time for anything but homework. It didn't matter how many parents complained to the teachers and the principle, nothing ever changed. The staff needs to re-evaluate the 'middle school program' or they will lose a lot more families.
This school is great has a wonderful family atmosphere and the students and parents are terrific. K-5 grade are wonderful, the seem to care about the students and welcome parent involvement. However, once the children hit middle school, they are bombarded with work that they are not prepared to handle. The teachers in the middle school program seem unwilling to help a child who is struggling, they just want every child to conform. If your child is unable to conform, they don't want to deal with that child. It is frustrating that a child that needs a little special attention cannot get a Catholic Education.
I love the family atmosphere of this school. My child is enjoying school and has acceled academically.
