My son has attended Carden for 5 years. This is an exceptional school with small class sizes and nurturing teachers that care for their students. Academically, the students excel at work that is above their grade level. They love the challenge that is provided by Carden. The sports programs are great.

Carden School of Sacramento has been an amazing fit for our child, who is in his third year at this school. If you are looking for individualized attention for your child, this is the place to be. My son was not challenged enough in public school, and now does higher grade work in the areas he excels in, and every report card has been excellent. Traditional small school, with no thrills, but excellent education in English, writing, comprehension, math, French, and yes, an excellent PE period every day, in addition to recess. The teachers and staff are amazing, and available if you have any questions.

My son is in his 7th year at Carden and my daughter is just starting and I can't say enough about how pleased we are to have found this school. The classes are small, the academics are traditional, the teachers' expectations for student performance and behavior are high but the environment is loving and supportive. PE 45 minutes a day, music class, French for all grades, computers, a beautifully maintained campus and wonderful families, with no snobbishness. Many socioeconomic groups and cultures are represented here. If you want your child to learn respect of others, his/her education, country and self, this is the best choice you could make.

I love Carden School. My son has been attending for 4 years. I love the small class size that allows my son to thrive. The teachers are great. It's is nice to be able to know all the students and parents in your child's class. The school is worth every penny.

Choosing Carden School of Sacramento for our child is the best parenting decision we've made thus far. After touring most of the private schools in the Sacramento area, there was no doubt that this school was the perfect fit for our family. The Director, Mr. Cone, is an active participant in all school functions and is always available to meet with parents. The academics and programs (including science, French, music, sports, computers, etc) are superb. The dedicated teachers and staff are amazing with the children and are very involved. This is our third year at this remarkable school. We feel the tuition is not overpriced and seeing our child thrive in this environment is worth every penny. We are very blessed to give our child the very best!

With public schools getting less funding, it seems like it's more important than ever to search for the best education. The teachers are very involved with the students and our son has had opportunities to excel academically that he would probably have not had elsewhere. My son is doing very well at this school academically, socially, and physically. As for religion, it's not an evangelical school - they honor 'God' but not much beyond that. Don't expect have Bible classes or Jesus songs. But it's a healthy environment where your child can feel safe and get a quality education.

Carden School of Sacramento is a remarkable school with wonderful & dedicated teachers and staff. My first child is about to complete his 2nd year and I jumped at open enrollment to reserve a returning spot and an additional for my youngest to attend. My son has blossomed under the tutelage of the amazing teachers from Ms. C., Ms. R., Mrs. R., Mrs. E. in PreK to Mrs. B. in Kindergarten ...not to mention Mrs. F. in Music, Mdm. C. in French, Mrs. W. in Computers, and Mr. P. in Physical Education. It's an amazing school and we feel blessed to have found it and to give our children the opportunity to attend. Stop by for a visit. You will not regret it!!!!

Carden school is one of the best schools in the sacramento area. for a small school they have an incredible sports program. Mr. Pena the coach take great care with all of his teams and they learn a great deal about the game, while keeping the values of sportsmanship. He also runs an art club after the sporting season is over. The students love creating projects and art and it is a good way to for a student to spend time after school. The new Director Norm cone, has take over and Carden is doing well, enrollment is up and the teacher and student moral couldent be better. Thank for everything!

Our son has made remarkable leaps and bounds at Carden School of Sacramento. Tuition isn't cheap, but the staff are very helpful and day care is provided on campus before and after school.

My child has been going to Shalom school since he was an infant and is now in their preschool program. I am pleased with my son s experiences thus far. However I feel that the school is overpriced for the programs that they offer and they have a mandatory parent volunteer program of 35 hours a school year and if you do not complete these hours you are charged a hefty fee for each hour not completed. I must add that I am concerned that my son s secular curriculum is below standards. For now I will continue to keep my child at Shalom School, while I compare other schools in the area for edcuation and cost.

Carden school has nott impressed me the way that I thought that it would. The curriculum was devised by the founder of the 'carden method'. Books, lesson plans, and all currriculum differs greatly from that of other schools that I have had experience with. Latin, and French are mandatory. Other subjects such as History, and Science are 'placed on the back burner' so to speak. Very small class sizes...good in ways, however, bad for social growth for children in my opinion. Staff can be judgemental, and 'short' at times. Extracurricular activities come at a cost, and are limited. Tuition only pays for the classes...not books, paper...etc. Parent involvment based on your 'status' as a person, or inthe community. You have to check it out for yourself to see if it is right for your child. Children are pushed hard to learn at a pace about 1 1/2- 2 years above average.

We have been to a carden school in oregon and heve seen how good carden can be. The sacramento carden academics are good; but the parent, and thus children, quality is lacking.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
